Why, other than for egocentric reasons? More people who are interested in a particular release would see them in the individual threads, surely?

What do people use to take 4k screens? I'm assuming vlc or mpc?

MPC-BE with MadVr. It took me a while to get HDR settings right, but once I did I thought they turned out nicely. My goal is to eventually take screenshots of every UHD in my collection. I’m definitely going to need more hard drives.

Interesting, thanks! Why mad vr? Wouldn't mpc's screenshot tool work just fine?

Yep, I use the F5 key in MPC-BE. It takes practice to avoid motion blur as well as a steady hand, but I've been doing this for about 12 years now.

OK. I think you are quite, quite mad, but a lovely sort of mad.

Right, but they're not portable and require external power. The best are the 5TB Seagate portable drives and they hold about 150 BDs or about 100 UHDs.

No contest. I preferred powered ones as they go well with media players and tend to have better drives inside than the portable ones but to each their own.

I disagree. The portability combined with not needing external power are huge conveniences. Also, in my experience I’ve had worse luck with powered drives.
