Cool I'm glad you gave it a chance and enjoyed it. I'm a HUGE fan of 90's action movies and that is exactly what it felt like to me. I love Hard Rain and Hurricane Heist definitely would go well with that movie. I thought Maggie Grace was absolutely fantastic in it too and for once a gorgeous female lead who is capable, badass and never sexualised once in the movie. I loved the dynamic between the three leads and also the villains were a lot of fun.

I wish I had the resolve for Hereditary, but I don't. Just can't handle stuff like that.
Still so many to catch up on. This weekend I'm thinking I'll be trying to prioritize Roma and You Were Never Really Here. Maybe Searching if I pass a Redbox or Mid90s if I'm in a Target and as weak as I think I am. Want to see: [Show spoiler] Also, all of you putting Blindspotting on your lists are warming my heart. |

That film really packed hefty punches. For me, Blindspotting did the best job calling out the audience in the most direct way. |

I almost never do this, but I saw it twice in theaters - in less than a week's time, even - because it stayed with me and I absolutely had to take my wife to check it out. |

It is really sweet. Pacing is left to be desired but its a debut, so I'll let it slide.

Justin Hurwitz officially released this ambient mix of one of the film’s best tracks under his Apple Music account. It’s an epic reimagining despite the vocals not really matching the pitch of the song.
I know this film is going to climb back up my list when I watch it again on blu. Chazelle and Hurwitz are a match made in heaven, Gosling was underrated, and Foy was perfect. |

Just finished Blindspotting. I absolutely love it. Exceptional acting, strong script, excellent direction and cinematography, and the blending of the comedic tone and dramatic tone worked effortlessly.
This made me feel so tense and uneasy, gah! Definitely in my top five. |

I watched 200 films last year but barely any of them were from 2018 so i'm just going to give 1 point for Annihilation. Doesn't make much of difference but going to help it anyways.
Rest of the 2018 films i saw weren't really worth a point. EDIT: More movies added. 1.Annihilation 2.The Ballad of Buster Scruggs 3.Night Is Short, Walk on Girl 4..Game Night 5.The Death of Stalin 6.Hereditary 7.You Were Never Really Here 8.Ghost Stories Last edited by Kuruwin; 02-22-2019 at 07:34 PM. |
