Forgot to mention that I think they got the peak brightness to increase a tiny bit over the years as well- again not night and day though

UK here. I've been looking for months and months to buy an OLED, and I think I've now put down my choices to either the LG C9 or CX (77"). As far as I know from the research I've done, there's not too many differences between the two, but I would like to know if you guys have any particular experience/knowledge of them to help influence my decision?

I'm not too fussy audio-wise, especially as I want it temporarily, but in the recent Prime Day deals I was able to snag this 5.1 speaker setup for a good cheap price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The only problem is that, as far as I know, its DTS speakers, and LG have apparently stopped support for DTS for the CX model. The C9 is cheaper, too. But, on the other hand, if I were to go with the C9, John Lewis have a 140 Protect Plus scheme which I could use on the CX as that'll cover me for those years from any potential burn-in, and there currently aren't any C9s in stock on their site. Of course, as I'm not too fussed about the audio, I can just easily refund the speakers and go for the CX but it all depends on some influence, of course (or a correction of a mistake, like whether the speakers I have could work with the CX or not).

Thanks! Really hoping to get it this week upcoming so any quick responses would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: nevermind, got the C9. They told me it was basically untouched. Being delivered Saturday. Very excited!
