Default Head of the Class via Warner Archive Collection

Season 1
Season 2
Charles P. "Charlie" Moore – Howard Hesseman (1986–1990; Seasons 1–4) is the history and social studies teacher who teaches the honors program to intellectual geniuses and help them aim for their dreams.
Billy MacGregor – Billy Connolly (1990–1991; Season 5) took over Mr. Moore's class in season 5. He is from Scotland and just like Mr. Moore he helps them aim for the stars.

Hopefully we'll get the next two seasons from the WAC before the end of this year, leaving the fourth and fifth seasons for next year (and, if there are no copyright and clearance issues, the short-lived spin-off Billy).

Thanks for starting the thread.

Anyone know if orders directly from WB Shop are pressed discs?

I know this won't be of much help, but I would order a copy directly from the WbShop as soon as you can. I ordered a copy of the first season of Mr. Novak a few months after it was released, thinking there would still be copies left with pressed discs, when in the end my copy had DVD-R (purple-sided on the reverse) discs. Normally you can still get pressed discs directly from the WbShop a few months after a new WAC title has been released. I've learnt now to pre-order a title as soon as I can (like with Head of the Class and Step by Step).

PowellPressburger, did you end up ordering a copy of Head of the Class's first season?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed the second season will be announced for September or October.

You could pre-order it on Deep Discount, but what if you don't get a copy of the set with pressed discs?

Decided to pre-order the second season from Deep Discount. It's probably too much to ask, but with there usually not being any or many releases from the WAC in December, I'm hoping for the third season to get released in November. If not, keeping my fingers crossed for February next year.

I really wish these would go on sale....$30 a season is tough to swallow.

The WbShop's Pre-order section for the WAC has been updated with October's titles, including the second season of Head of the Class.

It's too much to ask I know, hoping for the third season to be released in November, before the Christmas and New Year break, leaving the last two seasons to be released by the WAC next year (and the short-lived spin-off Billy, if there are no rights and clearance issues).

How many episodes in the third season were filmed in Russia? I thought I'd ask, after looking at some of the synopses for the show on the IMDb (looks like there were two episodes shot there).

bigjim, no rush, but when you can, can you update the starter post with the front cover artwork for the WAC's DVD release of the second season please. Thanks.

I completely missed the announcement that this was even coming out on DVD and just stumbled on the info a few of days ago.

I ordered Season 1 from Best Buy and thankfully got pressed discs.

The second season is out a week tomorrow (so you haven't missed out on getting pressed discs).

I'm hoping the third season is released in November, but it's more likely that it will be out early next year. Whether the WAC will finish the series off and then release the short-lived spin-off next year, I don't know. The WAC should be announcing the rest of their November line-up tomorrow (if there are any additional Blu-ray titles). If there are any older TV titles being released in November, keep an eye on the WbShop website and Deep Discount (moreso the latter, as it took the WbShop ages to add the October titles to the Warner Archive Pre-order section).
