This set comes with Viva Elite clear cases. I'd like to anaglyph 3D disc with the new 3D disc in one case. Does anybody here have a Viva Elite clear double case they want to sell? Buying just 1 from a store appears to be expensive.

Having all the discs in actual cases and not a tin is one of my favorite things about this new set!

I wouldn't be surprised if people will try selling off their "defective" discs on the used market once they get their replacements, so you might be able to find Part III in 3D with the opening titles issue.

Hope others have better luck with TCM shipping than myself with their Friday the 13th set. The corners on every single case, top and bottoms, were shattered and had bits of plastic all throughout the plastic-wrap packaging. Needless to say I sent it back the next day. Might try my luck with Amazon.

The problem is the cheapest way to send one is to stick a DVD in and ship media mail and a dollar for the trouble and shipping material. That still is around 4 to 5 dollars for just one.

If the fix is better than the original disc I'll donate by using for a media mail shipping, but I will never advertise it because that is WRONG.

On another note, watching the outtakes for chapter 4. Very nice of the actress from Weird Science in the rubber raft. Classic! Not to be missed for fans of her that want a little extra.

Yes, especially if youre a fan of the entire series and not just the Paramount 8. Even if you are only a fan of the Paramount 8 I would still recommend getting it. The only movie in the Paramount 8 that doesnt look quite a bit better is part 5, and it still looks good. Im sure Paramount will release the first 8 in UHD eventually, (or re-release these blu ray transfers), but some people seem to think there is a chance Part 3 true 3d will never be released again. So you just have to ask yourself if you can wait that long.

...good riddance.
I think the hippie couple is why I like Part III a lot less now. It used to be #1 when I was younger, now I think I have it at #4.

Chuck and Chilli really add nothing but a few weed jokes to that movie, not to mention they seem so much older and why would they be hanging out with High School kids?

I don't know if I'd say any set is worth that much if all you really want is one film. However, if you're a 3D nut and plan to watch it a dozen times a year, then I suppose it would be worth it. LOL! That said, the set is fantastic.

140 dollars 12 films comes out to under 12 bucks a film. The best ones have new 4K scans and there is ALL previous bonus material with new material and the 3D and unrated JGTH in HD with original sound mixes. Expensive?? For Friday the 13th this is a budget release!

Go back to the Tin set if ya don't value better quality. They are dirt cheap now (at least till this set goes OOP and thtough the roof!).

Is the 3-D properly aligned and rendered on Part 3?
I hope it will come out separately soon.

Someone needs to start a Japanese Horror on blu-ray thread.
I'd do it if I weren't so busy.

Imagine how freaking cool that would be.

To still not know what Jason really looks like, after all these years.

Just a fleeting glimpse of him as a boy.

...the inexorable, inescapable, unbearably profound tension of not knowing.
You can get all of the above (except the boy bit) in MAD MAX 2. Be thankful the Lord Humungus was never unmasked.

I just grabbed the set at Best Buy. It's in perfect condition. Not sure how many sets each store has on hand, but it's probably not many. The one nearest me had none. Luckily, I just upgraded my phone, and got a $30 trade-in credit for my old one. Knocked it down to $110. I feel much better about that price. Also, all the discs were there. I was wondering what to do if there were duplicates, but it was all good. No loose discs at all.

I will say that I don't care for these clear cases. They just aren't my taste. They just look a little off to me. Also, they used some pretty cheap paper for the reversible artwork inserts. I don't blame them for maybe cutting some costs where possible, but it irked me a tad bit. I do kind of prefer the packaging for the Halloween Deluxe Edition set overall, though. I'll take the black cases over clear ones any day. My BD of Savage Streets from Ronin Flix has a clear case, but it at least has a slip cover to mask that for me.

And why would a good looking and seemingly popular guy like Andy be hanging out with someone like Shelly?

You should have TWO 2-Disc cases! Friday the 13th Part 3 and Freddy vs. Jason. FvJ from the Tin Set has the audio in DTS-HD MA 6.1! None too shabby.
Already mentioned I'll be buying 2-Disc and perhaps 3-Disc cases for this set. 2-Discs for these. (Asterisk means I don't own it yet.)

I'm the kinda guy who says to each his own... but damn it surprises me how many F13 fans dislike Part 7. I love that entry. One of Jason's best looks, does some different things with the story and all around an entertaining film. Sure it has it's flaws... but any entry past 4 does. Hell of a lot better than 8 I'll tell ya. Still like 8 but you know, worst Paramount sequel.
