Good idea for a thread! I've been wanting to add more shark flicks to my collection. I won't be starting with Sharks of the Corn though. Lol!

That would be a whoops on my part. Funny enough I had In the Deep written down and crossed out to replace with 47 Meters Down, only to forget to go back and add it.

^ I should probably mention that Horizon Line is more "Somewhat Sharky" as the sharks don't come into play until near the very end.

I haven't seen Horizon Line yet, so I might change my mind, but I'm going to leave it where it is for now since there's a few other films where sharks aren't heavily featured. Sharky is mostly for the ones that predate Jaws.

A thousand times this.

--

I started collecting shark movies around the mid 2010's and thought there was already a heap of them out there at the time - yet most seem to have came afterwards.
And yeah, I have watched most of these - and I can probably count the ones I recommend on one hand.

Several of the ones in 'DVD only' do have foreign Blu releases, but I can't keep track of all of them.

Nice work!
I'd enjoy a blu-ray copy of Sand Sharks - sad that is stuck on DVD.

A few duplicate entries worth of note;

Same film as "Shark Week" with a different title. I'm not sure if the Blu-ray edition was actually released.

A early version of 47 Meters Down before the distributor decided to hold it for a theatrical release. Though cancelled, some copies did end up in physical stores a whole year before the film's theatrical release.

Basically it's just one of the discs from the Meg-A-Shark Collection, containing Shark Attack 1-3 and Shark Zone.

I wonder how many people on this forum are like me: they LOVE shark movies, but loathe overly-stupid movies, with terrible CGI sharks?? (Meaning, I have little or no desire to watch many of the films listed here. You couldn't pay me to watch a "Sharknado" movie!)

Any of our resident experts here want to share their opinions of Devilfish? I've never seen it, and have always been curious about it. Thanks in advance...

Devilfish is dumb fun. The plot is messy but it honestly is more entertaining than most of the other shark movies in this thread. It was also featured on MST3K. It stands up there with other low budget Italian films though.
(I call it a shark film loosely, the creature resembles a dunkleosteus but with tentacles, making it a sharktopus before Sharktopus was a thing).

I ended up having to buy this because the disc included in my copy of the 8-pack had these terrible scratches on it that caused skips and made the ending of Shark Attack 2 unplayable. Fortunately the disc with the other movies was fine.

I figured it would be the same disc from the 8-pack, and it even uses the same disc art - but the menu screen is completely different and it appears Shark Attack 2 no longer has that awful laggy framerate that occurred every few minutes.
It makes sense why EB bothered re-releasing this disc on its own now.

There was a Swedish single release for Malibu Shark Attack:

And international releases for some of the films in the "only on DVD" section:

Probably a good idea to include it in the OP since the Meg-A-Shark collection is OOP. Wonder if it fixed the problems that set had.

Anyway, excellent idea for a thread!

Always wanted to do a list for Killer Croc/Gator movies but wanted to wait til the top dog film finally got released. I'm just going to leave it in this thread since there's not enough to warrant a ongoing discussion.
Didn't include Jurassic Predator aka Alligator X aka Xtinction: Predator X because it's technically a Pliosaurus.
Would like to do killer snakes but there aren't many actually on Blu.

Nice, though you could always add it to the OP and have the thread be about Killer Sharks and Crocodiles. That's what I did with my J-Horror thread after adding other countries like China and Korea. Turned into Asian Horror On Blu-Ray.

Speaking of crocs, when the heck is that release of Giant Crocodile coming out? Did Sompote Sands' death delay the release?

I thought I was mentally prepared for whatever crazy idea someone would think up next, yet they still manage to pull off something that I could not have imagined. Dracula and his pet shark.

Quote:
After the legendary Count Dracula is driven into the ocean, he passes his curse onto a great white shark. The now undead pet of is tormenting a local seaside tourist community, led by a cult of bloodsuckers. A team of modern vampire hunters attempt to send the Count and his new fanged friend to the bottom of the sea forever.
