Hi, I own several Blu-Rays in Steelbooks, Mediacovers & Digibooks.
Currently, I am using the original plastic wrap but it will tear by time, and does not offer great protection for such cases. My collection is stored in a locked wardrobe and I take great care of them. But accidents do happen and want to have some extra protection for such unforeseen occassions. Are the sleeves & covers provided by steelbookcentral.com any good? Do they last? Do you use alternatives? Last edited by caqu91; 05-14-2023 at 11:40 AM. Reason: Better description |

I also use the original plastic wrap but it rips after a couple times with Steel Books. Box sets they generally stay in good shape unless you accidentally tear it.
I don't like the hard clear plastic SteelBook boxes. I have received too many glossy steels with a vertical rubwear mark on the back, right where the plastic of the protector shell wraps over and connects. These are awful for everything but matte. I've considered using poly sleeves for vinyl records and using a heat sealer to resize the bags to try and come up with a more gentle way of preventing scratches without adding to threm. |
