I recently watched Golgo 13: The Professional. I can't believe I deprived myself of this for so long. Also can't believe the disc is not oop. Was able to grab it

Is the live action as good as the anime?

A new favourite!

While this will probably end up being 02, it'd be neat if it turned out to be the movies instead. I'd certainly love having an official release of Our War Game (Digimon: The Movie is likely still in Fox/Disney's hands).

The original movies would be awesome for sure. I tapped out after season 2 as a kid, so I probably wouldn't buy past there.

Season 3 (Tamers) is worth checking out, it's written by Chiaki Konaka of Serial Experiments Lain/Big O fame

Golgo 13 holds up surprisingly well for a movie from 1983 (the primitive CG notwithstanding). Credit Osamu Dezaki, Akio Sugino, and Shichirō Kobayashi. There is also an OVA directed by Dezaki, Golgo-13: Queen Bee, that you might want to check out (sadly, it is not on Blu-ray). I haven't seen either of the live-action films.

you should give season three and four a shot they are both more mature then the first 2 seasons of Digimon. They are also considerably higher quality then season two of Digimon imo as season two is probably the weakest of the four seasons I have seen.

I tend to buy anime I normally wouldn't with Discotek, so it's entirely possible I will. If they release them that is.

Random question. For someone at Discotek. The 4K of The Last Starfighter review says there is an extra in 720p? I thought 4K discs had to be 1080p or above?

Probably just going to be 02, but TIGHTLY crossing my fingers for the Movies or maybe even a dual-audio Blu-ray release for Adventure 2020. (Would certainly be a much better way to get the dub out there than the Microsoft store.)

I'd love to see Discotek put out the new Dragon Quest Dai anime. No way I'm paying that digital price for the dubbed show.

I would give this series a try simply because it was dubbed by Ocean. I haven't heard any of the Ocean cast in a dub in ages, 10+ years at least.

That has to be an error. UHD spec does not support 720p.

Discotek recently mentioned finishing one restoration project in 4K. But what it is or whether it'll be released on UHD remains to be seen. Other than that, there's nothing else that we know of yet.

I've not seen the live action movie (soon, my pretty, soon), but I can fully endorse the series from 2008. Well worth picking up if you liked The Professional. This one:

350 bucks?!? I retract my statement. This series is worth picking up, but not at that price.

That's a series I was interested in buying years ago, but never got around to before it went OOP. Hope Discotek can license-rescue it (assuming there's no issues like with Queen Bee).

There's some older VAs like Paul Dobson and Kelly Sheridan in Dai. Probably some others but I can't recall off the top of my head.
