Default Everybody 1-2-Switch! | June 30, 2023

Quote:
Wanna party? Break out the Nintendo Switch™ system and laugh it up at your next game night!

Mix up your next get-together with the Everybody 1-2-Switch!™ game. Grab some Joy-Con™ controllers* or smart devices** for team-based games that are easy to set up and feature everything from balloons to aliens, and more! People at your next party can get moving and show off their teamwork in this multiplayer mashup.

A mix of games and modes to keep you on your toes!

Use Joy-Con controllers or smart devices, team up, and let the games begin. Split into teams and see which group can win a certain number of games first. Many games have several variations that change up the rules or add extra challenge!

This game has allegedly been finished for quite some time, but Nintendo shelved it after it received overwhelmingly negative feedback during focus testing. This was detailed in a Fanbyte article last year, and the title and horse-mask character line up with that article.

Not into party games, but I was curious about those asterisks...

The original made great use of all the joy con features but this is an odd release for sure.

(Looks at calendar)... wow, it's not even April Fool's Day.

Well, congrats to all 2 or 3 people in the world who were hoping for a sequel to a horrible launch game.

A sequel to a tech demo? Okay, Nintendo.

Nintendo still trying to recapture of magic of Wii Sports. That tech demo/game was a perfect fit for the Wii. Unfortunately, their attempts at a similar title for the Wii U (Nintendo Land) and Switch (1-2 Switch) were far less successful or well received. Nintendo Land was ok, and better displayed uses for the Wii U Game Pad than most games, but it was still sorely lacking. 1-2 Switch was just a mess of a game, but Nintendo didn't really need it to sell anyone on the Switch. I suppose they're releasing this one as a more polished variation of 1-2 Switch. No clue why, but it is what it is.
