I don't see why it should count as 1 title based on the semantics of whether it comes in a box set or not. I mean, by that logic, if someone buys the 3 individual X-Men films in 1 transaction (which in essence is the same thing as someone buying the Trilogy set in a single transaction), that may as well count as 1 title. But then that would also mean that someone buying any 2 random movies in a single transaction would count as 1 title. And what about when some stores carry sets of 2 or more movies randomly bundled together at a discount price (you are getting the individual movies in their individual cases, just bundled together)? Would that count as "one title" as well? It's not hard to see why this "box set counts as 1 title" logic doesn't quite hold up well. |

![]() It's important for me that the count is as accurate as it can reasonably be (with what is represented in my collection being accurate as well.... i.e. not having to put the individual release of the Matrix with a different cover and different release date in my collection just to have it counted individually). If there was simply no count tally at all, I really wouldn't complain. But since there is one, it would be nice if my collection could be tallied accurately. I don't see the point of you asking this question anyway. With all due respect, it's a pretty pointless, stupid question, the general answers to which should be pretty obvious and self-explanatory. Many people use this feature to keep track of their collections, including the counted total. There are threads on the forum with people talking about how they have 100+, 200+ Blu-Rays, etc. I don't see why having a way to accurately account for ones collection (both in terms of the tallied total and the editions of a movie included) is so much to ask for. I mean, really, look at what the collection feature DOES have/offer. When a movie comes out in several different editions (i.e. different covers, store exclusive variants, separate listings for releases of the same movie in different regions with nearly identical cover art &features & release dates, etc) those typically get listed on the site and people can add them to their collection accordingly. Yet, when it comes to movie box sets that either haven't had the titles released individually, or have had individual releases with different box art, release dates, etc, people like myself who consider a set of 3 movies to count as 3 Blu-Rays have to choose between either having the incorrect editions/releases of some movies included in our collections, or having an inaccurate tally (IF we have the option at all.... in the case of movies that haven't been released individually at all, we have no choice but to list the box set as 1 title/item). It doesn't make sense that there are SO many options that already exist to try and allow people to depict there collections as accurately as possible, but when it comes to this issue, in some form or another people like myself have to choose between the lesser of two evils to ultimately get something that resembles our collection, but in one way or another just isn't quite accurate. IMO the ideal solution would be this.... in addition to the many already existing listing for the different variantions of movies, there should actually specifically be separate listings for for movies that come together in a set. For example, taking the Ultimate Matrix Collection for instance, the Matrix could be listed individually with the proper cover art from that set and release date, and somewhere in the description it could say something like "Part of the Ultimate Matrix Collection". And then do the same thing for Reloaded, Revolutions, and the Animatrix. Another option for these listings would be for the picture shown to have the individual movie's cover art next to the box set cover art (to help denote it as part of the box set). This could all be in addition to a listing for the entire box set that already exists. That way people who consider the set to count as 1 could list it as such, but people who want the titles listed individually have that option, too. The only time, in my opinion, that it would make sense not to give the option for a second listing would be in the case where 2 movies actually come together on the same disc (i.e. the Analyze This / Analyze That double feature). If people can list some kind of obscure limited steel book edition of a movie that was exclusive to one store in some foreign country, it doesn't make sense that others have to settle for listing their collection of the most basic, common USA releases in a manner that either only roughly resembles what is in their collection, or with a tally that only roughly counts how many they have. |

Hey guys!
The only way to solve this problem, is by introducing an extra field into the database, which specifies the exact number of unique titles in the package. We have put this on our todo-list and you should hopefully see this implemented next week. |

What I have been doing is searching for the individual releases in other regions and listing it that way. For example, I have the Austin Powers collection listed as individuals from UK. I know it's not an exact representation of my collection, but it's just my preference.

A new field in the database has been introduced under the "Disc info" section: "Unique movies" (with a tool-tip).
I have set as many bundles as possible to the proper count and all other titles to default to 1, so a lot of BDs need to be identified and updated manually, so please help out ![]() (Since this is very new it is not yet reflected in your collection count, but it will be soon). Is there anyway that it can be made so when double feature Blu-ray discs are added to the collection it shows up as 2 movies being added? Would prefer to have The Last Boy Scout and Last Man Standing counted as 2 rather than 1 being added to my collection.
