OK. Fine. If we're going with that, it's bull****. If I hadn't attached MA to my account (which I had no pressing need to do), I would still have those movies in HD. The one singular reason that I wanted to do it was to get the HD rights in iTunes.

Agreed!

That was my primary reason as well. Get a HD UV title that VUDU only has in SD to MA in HD, and get a few UHD titles to MA, and hopefully port some other films over.

I doubt it will do any good, but tomorrow I'll probably complain to FandangoNow about the downgrades. I hope others will let them know about their disappointment as well.

Oh it will definitely do some good. I called them yesterday and I've gone back and forth with them today about it. They're aware of the problem and are trying to figure out how to solve it.

Definitely call them! The more people we have complaining, the better the case.

I'm actually waiting for any one that can confirm that.
if your FDN account is never connect to MA, can you still watch the fox/sony/universal movies even though their flag is showing MA.

Last year, I invited my cousin to share my UV account. When VUDU temporarily gave UV rights to MA imported titles, his iTunes purchases ported to my UV account. VUDU later removed them from UV, but they stayed in my FandangoNow account, where they show up as "purchased".

None of these titles ported to MA, but they're still viewable from FandangoNow.

but that's different right? we're talking about movies that changed flag. So you can still access the movies (not purchased from FDN) that has a MA logo without connecting to MA?

I'm saying I can view movies on FandangoNow that are not in my MA library.

The only thing that changed was when movies in my MA locker had a lesser resolution than my UV locker. Those were downgraded.

even if those movies have a MA flag?

if that's the case, then we should contact FDN to ask them to bring our account back to the never connected to MA state

If they are still in your library I would think you should be able to watch them.
I haven’t connected to MA and just tested Only the Brave, Deadpool, Angry Birds and Back to the Future and they all played.

Cool. Should I expect your apology around the same time?

I'm not going to ask FandangoNow to return me to my old state. The old state will probably disappear at some point.

Correct, I still have access to both of these in UHD through my unlinked fandango now account.

No you're not. There are also people reporting that 4k movies that they actually purchased on FDN are being downgraded to HDX. It seems like they have a problem outputting information.

And... You're wrong.

Again, I gave you explanation on the issue you reported in OP.

There are other issues that's related to MA downgrade that has nothing to do with this.

Again, the issue you are reporting in OP has nothing to do with MA. It's FDN screwing us over. MA does not have a way to know that you own those movies in HD.

My god. You really won't listen to reason. There are people WHO PURCHASED from FDN and it's being downgraded. MA is overriding everything.

Please stop posting here when you keep spreading misinformation.

you are the one that won't listen.

how many times I have to tell you that your issue in OP is not the same issue.

there are various issue with MA/iTunes or whatever with downgrading movies.

but this is a different issue.

How many times I have to tell you that your movies in OP is being populated by VUDU now, not UV any more, since they are SD in VUDU, so you only get SD in MA (vudu/amazon/google/itunes/FDN)

again, if you don't believe it, good luck trying to get MA to fix it.

So I'm telling you the last time, MA does not have a way to know that you own those movies in HD. They only ever see that you own them in SD in VUDU.

I'm not asking MA to fix it. I'm asking FDN to fix it.

well, UV will probably disappear at some point too

but I'm not going to bother with this anymore, the only lost I have at this point is the SONY UHD's which I still hope they will go VUDU some day.

since OP still doesn't believe me, I hope he enjoys talking to MA and FDN support
