Since the OP has support for his theory and you have none for yours, why should anyone believe you??

then don't. your theory is simply MA downgrading everything, you should be talking to MA support.

if you are trying to talk to FDN to give you back the HD you have in UV, you are following my theory.

Incorrect!!! I never said MA was downgrading anything!!!

Feel free to re-read every single post I've written.

since you are already talking to FDN, you're on the right track and it helps all of us. just let us know what happens.

I was talking about UV disappearing.

Aside from the downgraded Sony UHDs which I keep hoping I can get into MA some other way, I'm only seeing a single downgraded title, so I'm not out a lot by this.

I have not connected MA to FN yet but I have movies in FN that are incorrect quality. And I have had them that way for a while. It is not because Vudu only has SD. Some are SD because that was the original quality and when I upgraded it never transferred to FN. Others are HD instead of UHD for the same reason. They are correct in UV but FN has them wrong.

FN has always had issues so even though the MA override is causing problems for some I wouldn't doubt FN is causing problems too.

there are various issues and glitches in FN and MA/iTunes etc. but the movies and issue described in OP is not the same, it's not really a glitch. It's working the way it designs to work. but we just got screwed over by this.

Here are the traits of this issue:
1. this only happens after you connect FDN to MA
2. the movies were ported from UV to FDN before (not purchased at FDN)
3. those movies' flag in FDN got changed from UV to MA
4. FDN offers these movies in HD but VUDU only offers them in SD
5. after connect FDN to MA, you will see that these movies in your MA transaction history showing up as VUDU*SD

these must all be fox/universal/sony movies since they these are the only studios that does both UV and MA

the issue is not just showing downgrading quality in FDN, the bigger issue is the lost ability to play the correct UV rights on any retailer because VUDU doesn't offer it.

More evidence of a FDN issue.

Purchased in FDN. Downgraded because of the resolution fixed in MA.

As I've said in this ENTIRE thread...FDN is over-writing the resolution they have in their system with the resolution in MA. That's taking precedence.

This is unacceptable.

Sure. It doesn't fall under the same issue because you say it doesn't.

The almighty supaet has spoken.

Do you have anything else to do on this forum than troll and tell everyone "how it is?"

I gave those criteria, which the movies in OP falls under.

again, please don't believe me and get FDN to fix those movies in OP for you and let us know.

we're trying to help each other understand and resolve whatever issue.

Again please stop posting with absolutes when you have ZERO evidence of your assumptions.

Incorrect.

#5. They showed up as Vudu SD before connecting FDN to MA

3 of the 4 are Warner Bros.

So, once again, you're wrong. But I'm sure you'll have a fancy way of backtracking and explaining things absolutely without evidence.

Considering there's only 2 UV retailers, that makes FDN the "other."

And are you insinuating that this is somehow Vudu's fault?

Dear God you've outlived your usefulness several pages ago.

it's nobody's fault. it's the way it's designed. I'm only disappointed that FDN did not do what VUDU did to support both MA and UV.

anyways, as I said before, this isn't really a MA issue, so I will move this discussion in the UV session.

do I have your permission to use the movies you mentioned in OP as examples of this issue?

It looks like I'm screwed and I'm going to have to re-buy all 4 titles, unless by some miracle they get upgraded on Vudu before UV ends. FDN is telling me that I have to contact UV, which makes no sense because this is 100% a FDN issue. I guess I'll wait and see what happens.

Welcome to the wonderful f***ed up world of digital
