The VIZIO OLED proves a point I have been trying to make for a long time now: HDR10+ is NOT dead!!!

Vincent has a great way of explaining things...I'm glad he recently started reviewing the HDR quality on 4K discs

Isn't Vizio only mostly available in the USA? And isn't there really only one US UHD player that has HDR10+ while all others dont......DEAD

Outside the U.S. there’s Panasonic.

HDR10+ playback is available on the following Ultra HD Blu-ray player models:
  • OPPO Digital UDP-203
  • OPPO Digital UDP-205
  • Panasonic DP-UB420
  • Panasonic DP-UB820
  • Panasonic DP-UB9000
  • Pioneer (Elite) UDP-LX500 (via future update)
  • Samsung UBD-M7500
  • Samsung UBD-M8500
  • Samsung UBD-M9500
  • Samsung UBD-M9700

Samsung players are not recommended. Oppo is no longer in production and third party prices are crazy. That Pioneer player is crazy expensive as well. That leaves Panasonic, which in the US are very rare to see.

Can you imagine Vincent with the Fomo surgical gloves and maybe a lab coat? His videos would start with him grooving to some Right Said Fred with LG OLEDs* glowing in the background. #MicDrop

*Displaying DV content of course because HDR10+ is dead.

That, but with Shawn Michaels theme.

I've got the Calmen
My calibrations going wild
Your TVs white points, i really move 'em.
Send reference quality.
Up and down their pixel lines
I'm just a sexy calibration boy,
The Calmens not your toy

Except the Sony A8G, that's the only OLED he's ever liked.

Quantum is right on a lot of stuff. For example, anyone that's being paid to review a particular manufacturer's product (TV) objectivity must be called into question.

Actually, Quantum rated the Vizio OLED over his Sony A8G. Now many of them Youtube reviewers/influencers that you love and admire, wouldn't dare give Vizio a rating above Sony or LG OLED if it does have a better picture. Why, because they are being paid by Sony, LG, or to a lesser extent, Samsung.
