The Ghostbusters preview cut sounds very interesting and so does the book, but I can't justify the cost right now and haven't got the space for silly packaging.

Had an email from Amazon that they’ve upgraded my pre-order for the UK ghostbusters set to release day delivery at no extra charge, with said release day being Monday January 31st. Which would be great…if the US set wasn’t £44 cheaper (got the uk preorder in at £120). How bloody typical is it that Amazon ‘upgrades’ the delivery for free on an item I no longer want?

I have the original release of this book, and it's rather large. Bigger than A4, and the text in it isn't exactly large print.
There doesn't seem to be any info on what size the one in the set is, but if they've scaled it down a lot, it'll be practically unreadable.

Despite Ghostbusters being my favourite film and franchise (although I admit to not being overkeen on Afterlife; way too many continuity issues with existing canon), I'm not forking out for this set. Only the TV cuts and preview cut are really what I 'd like, and that's not worth £120.
Comparing it with other expensive sets of late - the Friday the 13th, Haunts Be Ours and Eurocrypt of Christopher Lee, only three films for so much money just isn't a good deal, regardless of the extras (most of which I already have on older releases).

If the book is the same size as the BD cases it will be not more more than a curiosity. It would be nice to see it getting a re-print or Kindle edition.

Hopefully we'll see each movie getting a separate special edition with the new bonus features.

This is what I’m hoping. I want to see the cuts but not willing to spend 150 just for them. Book I don’t mind about too

i'll sell the codes and will ebay the french three movie 4K i got a while back so hopefully my DD USA order might run under £50 all in

Features? It’s says so on the box but not what they are. Juts says Special Features High Definition standard Definition under each films credit block.

No sorry but I would think it was the special features on the normal blu ray and won’t be the different cut of Ghostbusters.

It's probably just the regular discs plus Afterlife in that set.

I doubt it's getting the special features from the Ultimate Collection set.

Just seems unlikely.

I’ve got the Brit set on pre-order. Just checked and the price is still £150.00. Was hoping it would go down in price a bit before release day. Maybe there’s still a chance?

No slips? Just like the Brit UHD sets of Columbia Collection vol 1, Columbia Collection vol 2 and the Karate Kid trilogy. It's like there's some kind of pattern there from Sony UK.

If the vastly overpriced U.K. doesn’t at least have the new UHDs then it’s yet another middle finger what with it already a compromised set in comparison to the US which cost half as much.

Got a confirmation on the 4K thread and youtube unboxings that it does indeed contain the new discs. Dolbyvision and theatrical stereo.
