I've seen the Candyman III release at several Walmarts in Canada, but none of the copies have the slipcover. Was there a different version for mass market retailers? Or no slip for this release? The pictures I've seen online indicate it has one.

Weird. When I grabbed a copy at a US Walmart a few days ago they had five copies all with slips.

Ghoulies III for me and also Dead End but I'm not sure that fits the Vestron line because of release date.

I don't trust a lot of stuff they say, but they for sure have have a Lionsgate connection, so probably true. Plus it's the film's 35th anniversary.

Yeah, worst case it gets moved to the wishlist section, but he gets artwork for Lionsgate relesaes ahead of official details, and retail leaks, so I know he has some insider at Lionsgate that provides him stuff.

The title can be something along these lines:

Extreme Prejudice (1987) (Vestron Video) coming in April

Wouldn't this be more likely to come from Kino since it was a Carolco production?

It seems that for this release, Canada got it's own version. I can't recall if it was further back in this thread, or on facebook, but someone mentioned it not having a slip in Canada. They also noted (and proved with pictures) that the spine doesn't have the release number on top like all so far have. The US one has a slip and continues the numbering on the spine (it's 24) of both the slip and inner cover. Could not even begin to guess why this is and/or why now.

The film is with Lionsgate in the US. Kino doesn't have a deal with them.
