When you use Top Up, you are effectively purchasing an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card that is automatically added to your Amazon.co.uk Gift Card balance. You can directly and instantly top up an amount of your choice using a credit or debit card. You can also set up Auto Top Up, with the option of scheduling a Top Up on a regular frequency, or adding funds automatically when your balance drops below a selected amount.

It's probably because you might have used a similar offer within a two year time frame. If that is the case, it will state that you are ineligible.

It's similar to the gift card promos.

I am ineligible as well due to this limitation.

The 50 pounds topped up will be valid for 10 years. The additional GBP 5 added is usually valid for a month.

I just saw this, and it worked! Not that I wanted to spend $67.76 US at Amazon UK exactly, but for a free £5 I guess it's for the best.

I waited until today and finally tried actually topping it up in my account. Sure enough, the bonus £5 was applied. Awesome!
