The Beast (1988) Imprint #143
 Couldn't find a thread for this release so I just made one. If there's already a thread a mod can delete this. I'm really surprised this finally got a Blu-ray release because this movie isn't very well known and made little money when it came out. It's a gritty war movie about a Russian tank that gets lost in a desert during the Russia-Afghanistan war and gets hunted down by the Mujahideen. The movie holds up really well. George Dzundza is great as a ruthless tank commander. Jason Patric is also great as a soldier with a conscience. There's also a fantastic 2 hour making of documentary on the disc. Can finally retire my DVD. Highly recommended. |
