Default Tragedy is hitting North America

The shortage of malting barley and hops has reached a crisis. The cost of hops to the brewers has increased by 400%, and some small brewers have been unable to purchase hops (due to no supply). The supply of malt is also down, due to weather, demand and use of grain crops for alternate fuel production.

If you are a beer lover, particularly a craft beer lover, you may want to enjoy it while you can.

I personally have over 12 pounds of hops and 300 pounds of grain, which should get me through next fall, if not longer.

Didn't you know soy is obsolete. Corn is the new soy nowadays...

You can make anything from corn. Just about.

Now THIS is what I call an off-topic discussion.

Time to start importing Stella Artois, a real beer. Fondly known in europe as the wife beater.

Also import a beer from france called Desperadoes. beer and tequilla mix. very nice

Stella! A real beer? With the endless choice of amazing ales from Belgium, that one is about as close to American Light Lager as they get.
