I’d recommend using it.

As per Brightness. Play something in SDR. Adjust OLED light.

Reference is 45/100 or 100 nits. 55/100 is 120 nits. So if in a brighter room you may want to go to either 55 or 65. In dark room 45 is good but again ya may want more pop. If so just go to 55/100.

I find Filmmaker Mode more accurate than ISF Dark Space.

Just check the summary images.
There is one for game settings and one for media settings.

Reddit once again helping people out (though I personally prefer 4chan).

Thanks for the responses! I'm still working on learning all these settings on my first HDTV. Want to bring out the best with it.

Has anyone seen this limited Star Wars Edition LG C2 OLED?? It looks awesome!

If only I had money to throw at a new LG OLED, I would get this in a heartbeat! Even better than a regular C2!

Oh schidt! I thought this was a joke when I saw the caption! I just checked the LG website and sure enough it's there.

Well, Best Buy forced me into a Total Tech membership, and I'm still within the 60 day return period on the two C1s I picked up. Hmmm.....

But I'm also in the middle of a pricey speaker upgrade, and with the price difference on what I paid for the C1s it probably won't happen.

Just bought my first LG OLED and wanted to ask if I should keep DV IQ turned on or off? After following some setup tips from users here the image seems to go to bright with IQ on. Being a newbie to DV and Oleds any help appreciated.

It depends if you are intending to use your TV in a dark room or a bright room.
Turn it off in dark rooms and turn it on in bright rooms.

I like the remote. Not the battery BS.

That’s about it. Only 151 I believe were made. So..

My money would be better spent on Mini or QD from Sony.

It’s an AI feature. So definitely off.

Mini OLED is still way too expensive right now and QD needs to work out its bugs before it becomes really good.

Mini LED/LCD

But yeah I do think Sony charging $3800 for a 65” where I live is a bit steep. Easily over $4000 after taxes etc etc.

QD is obviously early days. No idea how long those Panels will last. Hopefully as long as LG OLEDs.

I’m basically done with babysitting my C1 OLED. (TPC Off) So if it fails for whatever reason, I’ll just go back to LCD.

My priority is 3840x2160/120hz + HDR + VRR.
Also Dolby Vision.

Does anyone have experiance getting a warranty repair from LG? I submitted the request Tuesday and was told I'd get a call in the next couple days but so far I've heard nothing.

I don't like the Filmmaker Mode on my LG, I use the standard mode because it looks better.

Looks like the latest firmware Version 04.40.10 is causing me issues.
I'm getting dramatic dimming and back to brightness when there is a camera change.

Switching back and forth is really really wild, dark to bright.

I haven't messed with any settings since the update.

****EDIT****
Ok, shame on me for posting before reading.

I turned off the AI, and it's back to normal. My viewing is normally 98 to 99% in the dark.

This makes a week, and I still haven't heard anything back from LG.

I don't use it...but it looks pretty damn close to what I have achieved with "I.S.F. Expert (Dark Room)." I would recommend that you set your "Brightness" to "49." At "50," there are instances when blacks flash -- even the black bars.

Oh I already have it set to high 40s. Thanks for the advice though.

What do you use for H.D.R. content? I use "Cinema," but I know that some people like "Cinema Home."
