That one is coming from Severin (in the US at least). They've already interviewed Tom Skerritt. Looking forward to it.

Lol I also thought it could be Devil's Rain . Severin usually does good work so I hope this one turns out great. There's some great cinematography in Devil's Rain that could benefit from a good remaster.

New interview with Arrow here. This is probably the highlight:

I’m just trying to think of there’s anything that we can give away that we haven’t revealed yet. There’s a couple of the Romero films are coming down the pipeline. That’s probably all I can say at the moment, but we’ve got some great, great stuff lined up and lots and lots of US titles so we’re looking to do as many US releases per month as we’re doing in the UK.

Arrow needs to rescue Litan from obscurity. I can't picture any other label tackling it.

[quote=BarnDoor;13576887]Sounds very plausible. We have 5 releases months of the year left and there's a lot for the Arrow Video line to get through providing nothing is delayed or scheduled for 2018:

Sister Street Fighter Trilogy

Bring on some more slashers, Arrow!

The Slayer has been long overdue. Really pumped for that one.

Fair enough!

Let's go with Mirage (1990), Corpse Mania (1981), Whodunit? (1982), The Prey (1980), Iced (1988), The Ghost Dance (1980), Silent Madness (1983) and Cheerleader Camp (1987) first. Then the rest.

I believe The Prey was from a little later, maybe 1983? I was really wanting to see this one but now I'm not so sure. I know there's a lot of nature footage used as padding. Last night I learned the film was made by a husband and wife team who had previously only dabbled in porn films so I'm not sure what I'll be getting into with this one By the way, I learned that tidbit from the featurette on 88 Film's Return To Horror High Blu-ray. Lori Lethin, the lead in Horror High, was also in The Prey.

As for today's announcements, I've never been as excited as I am this go-round. Looking forward to the specs and art reveal for The Slayer. Another movie ripped from the clutches of Code Red limbo.

Would love CORPSE MANIA, but that's something that 88 would probably snatch up.

The Great Owl has been mentioning this recently. I trust his taste in films (or at least they seem to align with mine), so I am interested in catching The Prey. I agree with you that maybe it was 1983 or 1984. I ended up just quickly scanning the slasher site database "A slash above".

I think it has to be a mistake. A new 2K resto definitely has been used in Germany and in the very soon to be released French release.

Blood Frenzy and Demented are from porn directors, and they're two of my favorites. The nature footage in The Prey is just something people latch onto to bash the film. I've never found it remotely boring, and I'd rank it as one of the better camping slashers out there. It's certainly far more enjoyable than something like The Final Terror or Body Count. It'd be great to get the original cut.

The Slayer is easily announcement of the year from Arrow, and it'll remain that way barring any surprises. I want more stuck in VHS or bootleg hell on Blu, and it's a genuinely eerie picture. As for the spoiler announcements, only two of those for me. Pity about another Troy Howarth commentary. Had my fill of him back in the DVDManiacs days, but the other extras sound most enticing. Hoping for a problem-free transfer.
