Default Maybe I paid too much for that Steelbook

I know we've all been there.
Tell me some of your war stories and crazy prices for a steelbook you just had to have.
I have about 60 steelbooks now and have paid $60-80 for some harder to find ones. And plenty of others for $40-$50.
My noteworthy steelbook:
Captain America UK steelbook new sealed -$80
Woof!

Captain America UK steelbook new & sealed for USD $80? Are you serious? Was it on eBay or what? That's bloody expansive, though

I paid $200/ea for Blufans Let the Bullets Fly & Farewell My Concubine. Both are sealed and with booklets. There are a handful of others that I've paid in excess of $100 for. Now that I'm bored with the hobby I've questioned my own sanity for doing so.

Price we pay for a hobby we got into late, IMO.

I got into this last year and was paying the same prices for most of my collection, so you're not the only one :P. The only difference now is that I only buy films I like, along with good art and finishes.

The most I ever spent on a steelbook was $65 for the Futureshop edition of Act of Valor. Brand new and sealed.

It's my one and only iron pack that I spent the most on. A brand new and sealed Futureshop exclusive Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It's still my favorite of my collection. Flawless. Not a ding or scratch. Beautiful gold accents that glint in the sunlight. It's absolutely gorgeous, inside and outside. It was the only one on eBay at that time. And I'm not saying how much. I'd never do that again for anything. But this was well worth it, in my opinion. And I love that movie.

Meh, the most I've spent $160 including shipping for Blufans Star Trek ID individual A from down under.

I have not pulled the trigger on Blufans Concubine or Let the Bullets Fly

YET...

My most expensive has to be Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Futureshop edition. Not going to say how much.

Dark Knight Japan exclusive cost me over £70 on eBay. I've purchased two copies of Elite Squad 2 Metalpak as the first arrived damaged and I couldn't be asked returning it.

That wasn't a cheap day to be lazy.

SteelBooks
$140 Le Grand Bleu JP open/dent (before Kimchi)
$120 Up FS sealed
$114 Resident Evil Trilogy KR open
$100 Inglourious Basterds FS sealed

Iron Packs
$106 Ice Age Trilogy CN sealed
$100 Moulin Rouge CN sealed

All purchased long after release of course. There's a few I'd like to have that are more expensive. Isn't that always the case? I don't want to pay some of the prices out there. Happy hunting.

Only paid about $43.00 from Italy. Thankfully I'm not at that point with steelbooks, yey. Now digibooks, that's another story.

I may be silly, but my max that I'll pay is $29... because it just seems like a real drain on the cash... But I'm a dad and gotta feed my kids and stuff.

I ordered this one off eBay, I don't wanna say how much but definitely the most expensive. I think the move is ok, but I just love the look of the steel.

I had too, to keep up with my comicbook movie theme...

There are other titles I'm eyeballing, just haven't pulled the trigger due to pricing.
