Default Scream Factory thinking about releasing Steelbooks of earlier releases!

I just saw this on Facebook, Scream Factory is thinking about starting to release steelbooks of their earlier releases. What does everyone think about this? I for one hope it doesn't happen because I'm pretty sure it will end my marriage.

The only thing I love more than steelbooks are Scream Factory releases, so combining the two is bad news for me.

Oh thats a f#$% yeah!!! Woohoo!! I'll take The Fog, Day of the Dead, Prince of Darkness, Halloween 3, Escape from NY and Nightbreed please and thank you!! If they use the new art on these, should they release them, I will be ready for steel heaven. Edit: totally missed the part of " earlier select titles" Uuuuhhhhggg!!!

I voted No.

I'm sure they will be matted. No gloss and no debossing. And I'm sure they will cost a lot more then the standard release because they will have to make up the cost of production.

I'm a sucker, I'll just sell off my slipped collector's editions and buy the steelbook versions.

I suggested they do new artwork as well instead of rehashing the slipcovers/coverart.

That being said, I would be interested if they aren't more then $20-$25 but I don't see that happening.

I'd love to see them maybe have their new artwork on the front with the original theatrical art on the back. We'll see how things play out, but I for one am excited. Though also a little scared since I already spend way too much on movies. And to think I promised myself I was cutting down this year!

I vote yes for future releases and select few previous releases. However, I vote a resounding NO for releasing previous releases with any new special features or anything along those lines.

if they used the original art I would be all over some of them but if they use the revised art they use on the outside of the amaray releases then I would pass... I don't use facebook so I can't vote either way
