Cool Pimp my Steelbook

Pimp my steelbook.
A thread devoted to sharing ideas on making the most steelbook look .

To start check out this company, http://www.lentiposter.com who print lenticular cards steelbook size:

Turns those bad Zavvi steelbook covers into wannabe Blufans Lenti’s.

I have bought a few lenticular cards from them and they look great slipped inside the PVC slipcovers bought from either Steelbook Central or Kimchi.

This same company also make magnet covers designed specifically for steelbooks examples of which can be seen here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-_...ew?usp=sharing

Pretty cool looking? Any other examples out there?

Are the lenti cards in the 1st link already the size of steelbooks? Did you have to cut the edges to fit the steelbook??There are some really cool ones on there that i am really interested in. Thanks

Yes, I think this company is aiming at the steelbook consumer by making them that size.

It all depends on how good the effect on those lentis are. If its anything like the complete garbage of Big Hero 6 BB lenti or if its a pure transition lenti like Planet of the Apes and Iron Man Kimchi I wouldn't be interested. I have been wanting to get into custom designed slipcovers that are printed on quality Asian release slipcover paper for a while now and some nice lenti cards could really and to the quality.

If the quality on them is good enough it would be worth the price.

Not sure about the legality of what they doing, as all those images are copyrighted, but anywho...is there a video showing these off? The images on their site aren't impressive at all. I need to see more.

The shipping price is actually crazy as the supplier doesn't reduce the price when you buy around ten or so: This means adding about 2/3rds of the price on again for shipping which is hard to justify.

Regarding the quality of the Lentis, I would say that it varies greatly. For me the ones that emphasise depth of image only can be disappointing and aren't a patch on the Korean/Chinese company ones at present; however the dual image transition ones aren't bad at all in most cases I've come across.

I'm interested in hearing about other options to these that people have come across.

Thanks, would be good to see.

There are several of these kinds of tutorials

But you can EASILY make these yourself and have them made by SnapilyPRO.

As a matter of fact i'm confident that some one that works at Snapily can just take all the designs submitted to them and open a online shop lol. All the hard work being done by everyone else around the world (in regards to designing the lenti flip images) and they just have to advertise it with a mark up and when it is requested have the lenti made and sent.

Basically a group buy ... for a particular item, steelbook magnets in this case.
Wow. This link is going to send me broke. Many thanks!

Nearly all of my steelbooks have a custom made lenticular magnet.

SnapilyPRO have easily taken a good £400-500 off me.
