The Harry Potter universe needs a course correction. A movie that will get the general audience excited for Potter-verse again. Oh, and get JK off the screenplay, she sucks at it.

Yes, it's called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Even though people like to crap on it online; unlike Fantastic Beasts both the play at the book have been massively successful with general audiences and critics.

It really is a no brainer. Just having the OG cast back alone will get the audience back.

100%. I would be all over that even with a brand new cast. In fact, I think it should be a brand new cast with both the young and old Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione.

Also, isn't there someone above JK to tell her screenplays are awful? There is a huge difference between books and a screenplay. A screenplay has to know what information to hide and what information to reveal and JK seems clueless in this regard. You have long sections of information dumps of useless information and sections where you need answers and no answers are forthcoming. Absolute pisspoor and indicative of someone who doesn't understand the medium.

No argument that JK is a talented writer but hand the screenplay to over to someone else.

I have no interest in The Cursed Child, and I doubt I'm alone in that. I would love, however, a book and/or film series about the Marauders. Give me young James, Sirius, Snape, Lupin, etc. I'm dying to meet their younger selves.

A Marauders movie could be cool. You don't need high stakes to have a great movie. The stakes of Ferris Bueller's Day Off was getting home before mum and dad. The Marauders could be centred around staying out of trouble.

There’s certainly a benefit to being concise and to the point on certain things. Particularly if you’re prone to going off track and tripping up going back over points already made.

There was a survey on the warners a-list marketing thingy a few days ago about this fillum, filled with questions about what you do/don't like about The Wizarding World. Maybe they do this for every tentpole of theirs, I dunno, but I don't remember such a panicky survey in the wake of Matrix Resurrections, say.

I'm sorry that to me discussing about movies is just a hobby and not a life or death situation like some people here act. I'm not that insecure about my movie preference that I'd go on a long rant with many paragraphs talking about prejudice and being done with the world just because some people don't like a movie that I do. Just go to the unpopular opinion threads and be done with it ffs.
