Noob ? - Banana Plugs

just bought these banana plugs and im new to this and was wondering will it fit in my receiver?

Im no expert but pretty sure Banana plugs are universally standard to fit any receiver with banana connectors. And your picture shows the banana accepted speaker connections

meh... audiophiles can get a little (and a lot) crazy about speaker wire and how this one sounds better than that one, etc. I personally think that with the average 10 to 15 foot run, your typical Home Depot Mega Cable (I think it's 10 guage?) at about a buck a foot is great.

Terminated with banana plugs or bare wire will not make any difference in the sound unless you totally screw up the installation of the banana plugs on the wire. I use bare wire now,, but when I used to change things around a lot, it was all banana plugs! they make it so easy to change speakers and especially to get everything plugged in to the preamp/reciever.

Here's a pic of the Mega Cable I use that sounds just as good as expensive cables from Cardas (to me....I look forward to your angry letters, audiophiles!) Also, I used to get my banana plugs from Radio Shack at like 4 bucks a pair for the ones that soldered on.

Now that I have a proper receiver with these posts instead of spring connections I ended up ordering some banana plugs because it was a pain to have to strip each wire and then feed them on the screw connections on my Denon.

I ended up getting 24 plugs

Looks like the 24s are back in stock at Sewell's website and Amazon (it seems that placing an order through them on Amazon is also cheaper, as it saves on shipping).

I was eyeing the Nakamichi banana plugs for quite some time, until you mentioned the Sewells. I'm thinking of ordering the Pro Maestro Premium Banana Plugs (6 pairs for $17.95 + S/H) now.

Ummm!!! I have some bad news for ya, You're still gonna have to strip each wire, and connect them to each plug.

Also, if you are running a 7.1, then you need 28 plugs.

I know how to use banana plugs I was saying the cables I have now are reused so much I have to keep cutting a stripping wire because it breaks off or it just does not look neat.

besides I'm getting 100Ft roll of new wire anyways so I'm going to end up just chucking this wire.

Nothing has changed since then, so I contacted the seller and they said well it left my state contact my post office, and I bet they are going to say contact the seller...

I should of just picked up the Sewell.

what if you bi wire some speakers you might need much more than 28 plugs
