Religulous

Pretty damn funny, though very bias and none informative.

Hey pal...

I wasn't attacking or anything..it has nothing to do with post counts...I'm just saying that I have seen these threads before...I'm happy they DID sticky it, though...at least this will always stay around now...

I really did not expect it to become a sticky after your comment. It was a welcome surprise. I honestly believe it is a great sticky for this section.
I think it was the word NEXT, that rubbed me wrong, coming after my recent encounter. All forgotten!

Default Eagle Eye

Plenty of suspense, action, and surveillance.

Saw a few this week.

Eagle Eye: Was average and predictable. I was expecting it to be a lot more fun and more intriguing. Camera work was a disaster in most action scenes.Save it for a rental.

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People: I'm in the minority with this one it seems. Cause I really enjoyed it. I don't know it just struck me as funny and I loved the setting. Plus I must admit I crush on Dunst and not too mention Fox is a Fox. I also liked it much more than Simon's Hot Fuzz.

Body of Lies :I liked it, but with the cast and director I was expecting a bit more. The acting was good as I suspected it would be.But what let me down slightly was the plot. The twist and turns especially how it all played out was not that surprising. I was always one step ahead. Sometimes even two steps ahead. For this movie to work on the level it should have, it needed to be a bit more smart. It's worth seeing for fans of the director and stars or if you just like this type of movie. The camera work, pace, and set pieces were all technically handled well. The film isn't bad, its just not great. Because of those involved it makes people a bit more judgmental in their expectations. I know it did for me anyways.

Quarantine: I'm not sure what the deal is but this year I have loved three movies using the "Blair Witch Technique". First it was Cloverfield, then Diary of the Dead, and now Quarantine. The crowd I saw it with went nuts.Screaming, laughing, talking to the screen (in a good way not annoying) I doubt I will get the same enjoyment out of it at home on a second viewing. Sure it's a remake of REC, but it still worked for fans of horror and this type of set up gimmick.

I'm seeing City of Ember later this afternoon.

City of Ember: The sets and design of the movie are outstanding. The acting was fine. The central idea of the plot was very cool. How the film went from point A to point B seemed extremely easy and a little forced. Even though it seemed tightly paced no real tension seemed to come from any of the circumstances with the exception of one chase scene. If answers to the problems didn't seem to come at ease and more of a build up of emotions drove the piece I would be telling you a bout a knock out family film. Alas its just average.

Default Body Of Lies

Great movie.

Easily the best movie I have seen regarding our current situation today with terrorism.

This will be a must buy for me in Blu ray.

An American Carol. It sucked. The movie was an hour and twenty three minutes long but it felt like forever. Don't see it.

Body of Lies - which i would give a 8/10. Very good movie that actually takes a realistic look at our current policies in the Middle East. Its not an action movie so if you are expecting that you might be a tad disappointed. Great acting though and as usual Ridley Scotts directing kicks ass.
