OK, so i know that with hdmi cables it doesnt matter if you buy high priced or monoprice they will all work just fine and with the same quality
but what about banana plugs? are certain ones better than others? if so, which ones? thanks. |

I would go for the "locking banana plugs" from Blue Jeans Cable they are $5.25 a pair but excellent for the price. Just my opinion though!!!
Scroll down the page to see the price and click on the "our speaker cable termination instruction page" to see an image of them and instructions. Locking banana plugs http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/speaker/index.htm |

Well all are good to use. It just happens the "locking banana plugs" fit tightly into the binding post and have much better contact. They don't wear out like regular banana plugs. Locking ones will last a lot longer and provide better service for the long haul. They really are great plugs for the $$$$. Actually at that price they are dirt cheap.
Worth it in my opinion ...........anyways. |

No matter how hard I try, the wire is still sitting in there a little loose. Anyone else ever notice this? |

sorry guys, still a little confused...do any of the banana plugs improve audio or sound quality
i know some may be better for wear, convenient for locking etc. but based strictly on the quality of sound, do they differ? any help would be appreciated, thanks |

Banana plugs offer protection for the wire, a solid contact between components, and hassle free connection and disconnection. Well worth the price by a long shot. I also use the ones from Monoprice and I have never looked back. |

I have some banana plugs from Monoprice as well but after a few times of plugging/unplugging " I've " noticed the connection is not as tight. With the locking ones it's as tight as you want it and makes for a better connection. They don't come out or rotate. Since we are only offering suggestions I offer my experiences and what I have found to be better.
You should also solder the wire to the connector for best contact and to avoid oxidization. However that requires finding a banana plug or spade lug that can be soldered. |
