I've been a MediaMonkey Gold Member for years and years and have always been happy with it. Lately however I have been less than pleased as the vast majority of my new CD's that I try to rip as flac files are coming up with errors. This is especially an issue with songs that are 8 minutes or more in length. Why that is I have no idea!
![]() I have the latest version and have checked all of my settings and cannot understand why this is happening. It's really been very frustrating. So for now I am not using MediaMonkey as my file ripper. In it's place I've started using MusicBee and everything is being ripped properly. I still use MediaMonkey for playback. |

I haven't ripped in a while but have noticed that it hangs on occasion, wonder if it has to do with the last uptate. More and more I'm using Foobar 2000, not the prettiest of interfaces but rock solid, reads formats most others can't (dff, iso etc.) and while I can't say why, it does seem to sound quite a bit better also. Seems to take up very little resources also. And there are plugins available for pretty much everything out there. I started using it for my DVD-As and have been very pleased with it since.

![]() I'll think about that buddy. Did it install a shortcut and when you open that you get those pages? Unless you installed a plugin instead by mistake? (I know John, you're not dumb ![]() |

Still also using free mediamonkey 5 as a good music player and for a large library.
Just want to know what i have and were it is. Music files AND video files in one listing including what's on the not connected external harddrives Need no fancy covers or additional movie info (just a little bit info +thumbnails) Gave the not connected external harddrives a number including it's main file so the file location is easy to see in monkey (only one extention it does not see is m2ts but i just put a random extra m4a file in the list and give it the name of the blu ray You can set monkey to auto playback the video files in the list on another video mediaplayer So for me it does a lot right it's maybe not special as a movie library thing but who cares it serves my purpose. ![]() Second place is for MusicBee that can do the same trick on video playback but also takes in m2ts files. (the videoplayer is again whatever program is set to pass through) ![]() skin multicolor and a forest green image for background musicbee:https://getmusicbee.com/downloads/ zoomplayer free version(the orange/yellow box:https://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomp...download.shtml Last edited by vista-vision; 02-20-2023 at 07:14 AM. |
