Love the line in DW II when Bronson asks Stomper..."Do you believe in Jesus? You're gonna meet him." And it's the same actor (Kevyn Major Howard) who Harry Callahan threatened in the elevator in "Sudden Impact". That guy has made a career of getting blown away.

I realize you can still enjoy these without the original, but I'll likely pass until Paramount finally decides to release the original. At least for now since who knows if they ever will of course.

I enjoyed at least the first 3 Death Wish films...the series was enough for me at that point...so I'm definitely putting 2 and 3 into my Blu collection, but 4 I could do without. After that, I'll be waiting to see any news of a release date for the first DW film.

Here's hoping that this will finally be the uncut version of Death Wish 2...

It's the R-Rated cut according to the press release. Awaiting confirmation from MGM!

I like the covers. Much better than the usual nasty fare.

Used the Fox Connect sign up coupon and got Mad Max, and all three Death Wish films for around 38 bucks.

Me, too. Posted it before The Great Server Crash of 2012 but was too lazy to repost. Now I'm wondering if they will ship "Mad Max" now. It's been a week so I'm thinking probably not.

I was hoping for paramount pictures to announce Death Wish but nothing it would have made sense bringing out the first one along with 2, 3, 4 and also does anyone know who owns the rights to Death Wish 5: The face of death??

What's the difference between the two cuts?

[Show spoiler]The two rape scenes are both cut (the second one, with the daughter, is almost completely absent). The R rated cut is about 3 minutes shorter than the uncut version.

For me it's all parts on blu or none. Since part 2 will be the cut version, I'll stay with DVD. Hopefully, it will be released uncut in Europe some day.
