That would be awesome. I've seen a few posts about this title on their Facebook page, and they seemed surprise said they were no longer releasing it.

I wish you knew something we didn't. I would love to see Vinegar Syndrome get their hands on this one.

Ya, May said that he used the negative to do his DVD transfer and then afterwards returned it to the lab it was stored at (as the negative isn't owned by May, so he was doing the right thing). I think the story went that the lab closed down and no one knows what they did with all the stuff stored there. Blackburn asked May where the negative was, May explained the lab was out of business, and it is now up to Blackburn to try to find what happened with the negative. It's Blackburn's property and only he could have the power to claim it if he found it. End of story. May said this kind of stuff with old negs happens all the time, lab fees not paid, sold off, lost, etc.

Lemora could be in a landfill as far as anyone knows.

It's a good story. "The Three Little Bears" is also a good story.

I wonder if he hadn't mentioned that the film was returned to the lab, since the owner had to ask May. It may have been written in the contract (returning the film) but some communication may possibly have prevented this. Something Weird Video happened to find a building filled with films and negatives, which allowed the company to get much bigger. At the time former owner Mike Vraney was hit a huge jackpot by being at the right place at the right time. I remember when this happened and he literally found hundreds of movies that hadn't had a home video release. If the lab storing it closed quite a while ago, it's likely been disposed of or in the hands of a private collector. May might have to use water master he has if the film is lost.

Now that Synapse has announced a THRILLER Blu-ray after revealing there was little chance of such a thing, time to again revitalize hope in a LEMORA Blu-ray. After all, the title of this years-old thread still reads, "Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural (1973) coming from Synapse".

I haven't seen the documentary of WOODLANDS DARK AND DAYS BEWITCHED yet, but several reviews say the footage they used from LEMORA looks quite spiffy. The review on B&S About Movies says that it "seemingly has footage from the mysterious Blu-ray of the film that never materialized". Could we finally be close to seeing that LEMORA 4k issued on physical media?

I have to wonder if a rights issue killed it.

I was just reading an old thread the other day where John Lyons of VinSyn confirmed back in 2012 or 2013 that they had scanned Through The Looking Glass and were in the middle of restoring it, and that never eventuated.

We might see LEMORA released if someone "Thriller...A Cruel Picture"s it

I was thinking the very same thing, even though it's very unlikely.

A custom-made LEMORA Blu-ray is being proposed on the Physical Media Collectors Facebook group. I'm just saying, seeing these designs really makes it even more apparent how Synapse needs to release this for real!
