Neither you nor I know if hes going to keep him. Several years ago when AP was coming back from ACL injury and he was taken 7th overall by me in another league when he was projected to go 3rd round and he had his 2000 yard season was that a bad draft? Or bad pick. Or is it unfair, sometimes gambles work out sometimes they dont. He is managing his team how he sees fit and grabbing who he wanted as a keeper.

For all we know Julio goes down in practice on the 30th with a NCI and hes out for the season. none of us can predict the future much less how healthy our players will be once we make said moves.

How is it unfair if he maintains control of the player for 3 years? We have a keeper league if his team is great for the next 2 years because of this does it make it a bad trade off?

Yes we have cash rewards but you also have to look forward to the future. Per league rules we can trade players for keepers, we can trade them for draft picks/spots. This is the entire point of a keeper league to be able to manage our rosters for the future.

Now if we are not going to allow people to make those trades and make those moves for the future as they see fit there is no point in keepers and we may as well just do a snake draft every year where yes this type of trade would totally be considered unfair.

Ultimately the decision and commish approval lie with the group and force

Well R3P0 at this point I think the majority have spoken and we should all just vote to nix the trade. This is supposed to be fun and enjoyable for everyone and it's clear most of the people in this league don't want it to happen. I do still need a RB so all of my WR's aside from Thielen can be had in a trade for a proper starting RB (which I thought I was getting in Cook). Going to go vote against it right now then resume studying for my Nutrition class. Sorry this potential trade got everyone so worked up. Oh, I see the trade is already gone. Well again I am sorry and my need for a RB remains so any and all takers feel free to hit me up with an offer, hopefully it'll be one everyone is happy with.

I think if you would have done that trade we all would have said he was still winning but they're definitely wouldn't have been an uproar. At least he is playing and did have a good week recently. It's nowhere near Julio Jones level but at least has been consistently putting up some points

I just wonder when Fournette's coming back. I was actually thinking about that but not sure the rest of the league would go for it. Not sure how much I like it myself since Fournette hasn't played a full game this year and I almost traded for another RB who can't stay healthy so far in 2018.

It appears as of next season we will need to find a new team to fill R-3P0s spot. The veto of this trade is making him no longer interested in this league.

The irony is he has 4 other quality healthy RBs on his team. I don't understand why he wouldn't trade one of them.

He's offered to trade me Philip Lindsay for Julio Jones, which works for me. Lindsay is a RB1 and Jones is a WR1, so I call it a win-win.

Youve essentially killed the entire point of keeper leagues by telling Batman who he is allowed to have as keepers. I dont have the energy to keep arguing over someone elses strategy. Someone can have my spot next year theres no point in arguing when a valid strategy which is used by multiple professional sports teams has been has just been eliminated.

I'm not telling him who he is allowed to keep. I just didn't like the bullshit that was being sold that Dalvin Cook was a magical player who had to be kept and that's why the trade was valid.

You got your player. You still didn't have to trade a starter or a player who was the best running back on his team. The trade will go through.

Yes sold. You tried to sell us it was fair because Cook was keeper worthy. He isn't. The trade got vetoed because no one thought it was remotely fair. Again you got your first round quailty player and still barely gave up anything.
