I would've gone and planned ahead for it, but they listed their guests far too late in the year for me and there was no way I could save up enough to meet even half of them.
The tickets for celebrity autographs/photos were entirely sold out for the day I went.

Also, getting an autograph AND photo taken with Rian for FREE was all I needed.

I arrived there with my group at 10pm and was told by volunteers that the line was closed off since it met theater capacity. They then showed us the live stream line which had nobody in it.

I did not get any sleep at all that night. I'm glad I didn't because if I did I wouldn't have met Rian! Great guy, very nice and down to earth person.

The morning of Friday, after we got our Hasbro tickets, we went back to the live stream line for The Last Jedi at 8am. Which had already began filling up quickly.

Upon entering, we were told by one volunteer that they merged the live panel and the streaming panel into one single queue. She then mentioned that last night she had a head count of 2,000 and we were somewhere among the 4,000 where the line ended.

They explained that they would begin handing out wristbands for the live panel until they ran out and would then give out wristbands for the streaming. Depending on how many wristbands they had, and where we were in line gave us a 50/50 chance of getting into the actual panel.

Line wasn't moving so we left and got into the Rogue One panel. (Which was entertaining. It featured deleted scenes and blooper/gag reel!) After we got our wristbands we went back to The Last Jedi line and then was told by a different volunteer it was actually for Mark Hamill's Carrie Fisher Tribute panel. I was so confused because not too long ago someone told me it was still for TLJ. Because Mark Hamill's panel was on the OPPOSITE end of that line we were at.

Eventually we got wristbands for the Carrie Fisher Tribute stream. Unfortunately didn't go because my group and I were stuck in the SWC store line for three hours since line control had no idea what they were doing.

Other than all the confusion and unorganized line control, I did enjoy my time there. I definitely need to be even more prepared if I decide to attend another Star Wars Celebration in the future.

I guess I'm left wondering....why even go then?

I mean panels and cosplay are things I don't care about, so I only go to consider to meet the actors.

If you have $200 for every one of those celebrities, VIP passes to save time waiting in line, and no conflicting photo op schedules, then go right on ahead and do it.

There's something for everyone at these conventions. Some love the panels, some love to cosplay, some love the merchandise and some love the autographs and photo ops with the guests. I fall in the latter category and had got to meet a few people that I wanted, but it's an event for fans so that's why they offer so many options for everyone to do.

I mostly wanted to hear about Geller. I know she's known to be unfriendly to fans...and I heard she was meh. Like made fans stand a few feet away from her in ops. I hate that. If I pay $150 for a pic with you, at least fake you care.

I heard the ops in general was a big mess.

I plan on starting to do cons again in 2019 and was hoping to try Celebration as my return con, but I heard this one is a mess. Like they didn't even check wristbands for people walking in the doors? Dang.

I generally don't pay those prices ever, but would've caved for Felicity.

I was there as well. While I didn't take as many pics of the convention itself as I have previous times, here are a few that I'll post.

I did buy some autographs for the first time. I was able to meet Forest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk, Ian McDiarmid, and Anthony Daniels.

I also went to the 501st bash Saturday night. Weird Al Yankovic gave a 45 min concert and performed mainly his B sides, ending with The Saga Begins and Yoda.

I think she was very nice but probably uneasy about having to be at her first real convention doing signings and photo ops, on her 40th birthday no less. You didn't have to stand a few feet away from her, but there was a no touching rule during the photo ops. Even with that rule, I think I still got a great picture...hell, she even gave it a like on instagram!

And yes the ops were a complete mess...they scheduled a lot of their big names at the same time, which filled the ops area plus were blocking autograph lines.
