Yep, same here! Didn't know where else to look for info on this so I came here too. Entire site has been down since at least yesterday. Software doesn't connect either.

I've used DVD Profiler for about 11 years and don't ever remember this happening... hope it's not bad.

Same here.

Wonder if it has anything to do with that storm on the east coast?

Default Invelos.com is down. Me so sad.

Fired up DVD Profiler just now to add the below titles and noticed the same thing.

(Picked the above titles up on EBay for $3 each which included shipping. Mostly guilty pleasures, DVD's I had yet to upgrade to Blu-ray.)

And yes, I remember down time like this a time or two over the years. Not in the recent past best I can recall though. Hopefully Invelos.com is not down for long. Who knows though considering it's the weekend. We shall see I guess.

The question for me now is...

Do I add the above titles manually or wait for the online database to come back online? Thinking I may just go for it. I have a separate database just for my DVD collection that contains the DVD profiles for most of these. Would be easy enough to backup those profiles, then import them to the database for my Blu-ray collection rather than build each one from scratch. Once imported it would just be a matter of updating the UPC's, Disc ID's and other aspects for each.

It does seem likely they're one of the ones that lost power due to the storm.

Same here. I've been using the program since 2008 and I would be lost without it. I usually update my collection on the first Saturday of the month. I have all of my February pickups to enter. Hope they come back up soon.

Really?
I never paid much attention to it, but where are they located?

I've been using it since 2012. I hope it's just a temporary outage.

Haven't tried doing anything on the program itself this weekend, but have noticed the site was gone last night and still is right now.
My program has been acting funny for the last week or 2 though. Every title I put in, it doesn't recognize. Then I have the blank profile with the UPC, go to update dvd info, and then the profile shows up. Maybe I need to do the database restore or something, guess I'm not doing it tonight.

Do you guys use the desktop version or the iOS version? I'm thinking of getting the iOS. I have been using Excel but I think it's time for something better.

I'd considered buying a license for $15 myself, but then I'd have to do custom entries on a couple dozen rare/obscure anime imports that almost nobody has. It took bloody forever to get that done on Film Aficionado (formerly DVD Aficionado), and I'm not keen on repeating that process.

That, and you know, actually paying money for something that I can do myself with an Excel spreadsheet (albeit less elegantly).

Given your 2000+ physical SKUs and 10K+ digital copies, I can see why!

I use DVD Profiler for iOS to view my collection only which always reflects my local databases. (I create backups of my local databases regularly as well.) Any changes to my databases are always done from DVD Profiler for PC. I then in turn run a database update from DVD Profiler for iOS bringing down any changes as needed to my iPhone. The database update can also be performed across the Internet as I've configured my DVD Profiler for iOS database to connect to my WAN IP here at the house. Any DVD Profiler network traffic is in turn forwarded to the computer I'm running DVD Profiler on 24/7.

I also host my own DVD Profiler based websites, one for my Blu-ray collection and another for my DVD collection, each of which reflect my local databases, both the profile data and cover art. Feel free to check them out if you like. Link action available below in my forum signature. (Best viewed from a conventional computer with an Internet browser that supports frames. Not mobile device friendly.) And by the way, I use an excel sheet also. You can't go wrong with redundancy. When purchasing a title the first thing I do is update my excel sheet. I'll then add the title to both DVD Profiler and My Movies v4.07.

(I catalog my collection with My Movies v4.07, so that I can browse and initiate playback of my discs from My Movies for Windows Media Center which is projected in my home theater at 120 inches diagonal. That's the only reason I use My Movies. It could never serve as a replacement to DVD Profiler with respects to cataloging my collection. I'd list the reasons why, but there aren't enough hours in the day.)

I used a simple phone app called "Inventory" to keep track of my collection. Worked easy enough by scanning the barcodes and autofilling UPC data, but for some reason it quit pulling up UPC information and now every item comes up as "found no helpful data".

Got to find something else now I guess, maybe this if it can be a simple cataloger like Inventory was.

I just added 26 titles to DVD Profiler for PC by UPC, then updating DVD Profiler for iOS by performing a database update from the app. Took less than 3 minutes. Granted I'll be checking over the profile data now in addition to replacing the cover art for each. That will take quite a while. Those steps aren't required though naturally. Some may be perfectly content with the profile data and cover art that's part of the official Invelos profile they've downloaded. To each his own as they say.
