Let's hope DVDprofiler is not down for good.

Time will tell.
Yes, I hope it comes back up for everyone. Either way, I'm commited to using DVD Profiler no matter what as I have no issue using the product offline. In fact, that's precisely why DVD Profiler continues to be the primary way I catalog my DVD's and Blu-ray's.

As for other solutions, I do catalog my DVD's and Blu-ray's in My Movies as well, but only for the ability to browse my collection in my home theater via My Movies for Windows Media Center. Aside from that I have no use for My Movies as you're literally tied at the hip to their online server. Thanks, but no thanks.

Wow. Thanks for the info! May look into it. Might be worth it, and more likely to keep going with a steady revenue source.

It appears the site is back up now for those interested.

Edit: My apologies. I didn't catch that Husker already reported this information.

To each his own, but the strength of DVD Profiler is the fact that you aren't tied at the hip to some online server. There's no online activation. There's no login to the software. I'm still using the same database I created back during the early years of the DVD format. Twenty years from now I'll still be using this software to catalog my DVD's and Blu-ray's. I don't need the Invelos online database and won't bat an eye come the day Invelos is no more. I'm more than content to use this software locally.

Tons of work though adding everything manually. Maybe I'm just buying too much, but I can't make any good profiler for everything I buy. But I see your point. My database at the moment is too big (and complete) to go anywhere else. Plus I love everything about it.

Same here. Plus horrordvds has been gone for over a month now, it's like they are clearing out my internet history one site at a time. Site slasher!

Profiler is back, but I fear horrordvds is dead and gone.

I will do that when the time comes, and do some of that now. I am also using the same database from the early DVD days. Still, this working, not working is frustrating. When adding dozens of titles a month, it's very time consuming to have to enter everything manually.

Thanks for the heads up. Disconnected from the Internet just now prior to hitting up the "DVD\Add to Collection" option. The call to Invelos.com times out immediately that way, the window then being displayed. Adding a profile as we speak. I don't download squat from the Invelos online database anyway so.

Somewhat different question -- anyone found a solution to the missing Android App. I don't think it's been on Play Store for close a year now. The Apple version is still available and I'm told Amazon Store has a version for Kindle.

There's an Invelos forum thread discussing this I think. Not sure what the latest there is. I'm on iOS.

If you have the .apk you should be able to sideload the app.

I did read that thread, but was hoping a bit that there might be a different thread somewhere without having to re-purchase.

I mainly use the PC version which I bought nearly 20 years ago. Also have the iOS for the occasional use IPhone Mini and Ipad. I may have too figure out the Amazon version,

If you still have access to your old device you can try these instructions for using adb without needing to root your device to obtain the apk off your device.
