I wonder if NO PANELS on Thursday and limited general tickets sold, will make the graph and ops lines better or worse.

Oh I'm sure I won't get it. They've upped the numbers for it this year, but it won't matter. It'll be gone. If I happen to get lucky though, I'll try.

I think they sell to previous VIPs first so the actual amount released to public is far less.

My GF and I were initially excited about it being in Chicago (we're in Detroit). But, actually having it downtown means hotels and parking are hella expensive. We know from going to other Chicago cons (G-Fest), that there's a big convention center in Rosemont. That's the hotel district, right off the freeway, by the airport. Would have been much better than downtown.

So, between the costs, and Celebration being one of those big SDCC-type events where you have to spend all day in line for a chance to see any of the good stuff, means we're probably going to miss it.

McCormick Place is a lot nicer and a lot larger than the rosemeont convention center. Having it there would have probably turned out to be a nightmare.

They haven't done that since either Celebration V or VI.

Not to mention, C2E2 is run by ReedPop in McCormick, so they know the lasy out.

Parking at McCormick is $28 a day, or was 2 years ago, less if you park in the outside lots with extra walking.

If I do get a hotel, it will likely be in that Rosemont area, then just take the train downtown.

As it stands, it'd be about a 5 hour round trip(plus traffic) and $50 to just drive down from Madison....but driving down a possible 5 days in a row could be much.

Sucks, cause until the celebs get announced, likely early Feb, I simply can't even start building a game plan to this convention. I really don't wanna go anymore than 3 days tops, but what celebs they get and on what days is beyond my control.


I wonder if the SOLO cast will even be featured much. Since the movie did so badly, wonder if they just kind of forget it happened? I know for Rogue One, they had like half the cast no?

I think that just depends on how badly they want easy money that weekend. Joonas (chewie) seems very likely seeing as he's in more than just Solo. Alden and Phoebe also seem likely. Glover and Clarke just depend on how busy they are, or if it's in their contracts.

I have a feeling Emilia will site some sort of Game Of Thrones thing. She doesn't seem to be much into wanting to do cons. I have a feeling her post GoT career will dictate that though.

Glover claimed he was coming when asked a few weeks ago.

I think the only ones that are doubtful from SOLO are Emilia and Thandie.

Maybe Woody is next year's Forest Whitaker, where you'd never think he would do one, but there he was.

Alden and Glover seem to be sure things, Phoebe and Joonis yep. Jon Favreau is kind of a jerk in person, so I doubt he will. Bettany has done a few cons this last year.


I wonder if they will let Daisy mingle or just keep her to the Episode 9 panel.

I just want Emilia, Felicity or Daisy. One at least, to do ops/graphs.

Well, I'll have to drop the money on Glover for sure. I've been a fan of his for years. And nah, I have a feeling Emilia will pass on appearing. Doesn't seem to be her thing. Faverau seems likely simply because he'll be promoting his Star Wars live action series as well.

Looks like no 5 day pass for me. Probably be sold out by the end of the day. I dont get paid until next week. This con went from amazing to a crapfest for me in a matter of weeks.
And with day passes, I cant blind buy them without knowing the celebs attending. This fell apart me me quickly. Maybe 2020?

I heard no, but Saturday is close to selling out already. Some are saying a good deal of passes will be up for sale later in the year when people's plans vhange and what not.
