There were only 7 Emmanuelle in Space movies! First Contact and Queen of the Galaxy are the same movie - I'm assuming Queen of the Galaxy was the UK video title, though I'm not 100% sure. I also think the Emmanuelle in Space movies aired as half hour episodes back during their original broadcast and were later spliced into feature length movies (a practice that was quite common for softcore cable series of the time, other examples being Red Shoe Diaries and Erotic Confessions which were released on video with 3 episodes per "movie").

There were also 7 Emmanuelle 2000 movies also.

There's also Emmanuelle in Wonderland which was edited into Adventures into the Woods. Not even sure if Emmanuelle in Wonderland originally aired or not but according to it's Wikipedia entry, Adventures into the Woods is the third cut of the original movie largely removing most of the sex.

They're probably on DVD, but I don't have them.

I really want these early 90s movies with Sylvia and George Lazenby on Blu-ray. There was a Dutch DVD box set, but I believe it's out of print, and i think they're all from the videotape masters, though it's possible there are SD special effects baked in. I remember watching these on, I want to say, Showtime, ages ago.

Kino Lorber should be petitioned to release the early 1990s Marcela Walerstein Emmanuelle series on Blu-ray. These were released on European DVD about ten years ago. Unfortunately the transfers are very dark and muddy, as you can see here:



They are beautifully filmed by Francis Leroi and deserve an HD treatment!

"in context" is a very key statement. Someone just watching the film now may not think its anything special. But one has to remember that this film was basically copied many times over (Felicity... the Australian film comes to mind). It was very original and well-produced for a "softcore" film in its day.

Does anybody have a good idea whether these 3 films will eventually be offered as a set or not? I'm on the fence for picking them up in the current Kino sale, but always thinking of storage space issues (and the ease of keeping the 3 films together when stored).
