Default Has a 1080p Terminator 3 been released yet?

I was just wondering if anyone has bought T3 recently and if they have, is the main movie now in 1080P. I figured since apparently warner is not going to exchange mine, and it is kind of on the cheaper side, I would just buy another copy if it is 1080P now.

Use an existing thread next time... Sorry. If there was a "fixed" release available, they'd announce it. The disc is still status quo and 1080i without PIP.

Default Terminator 3 - how to spot 1080p version?

Just wondering, I've been wanting to buy T3, but don't want to deal with Warner to get the 1080p version, if they even still offer a trade-in.

I wouldn't doubt stores still have stock of the 1080i version, my nearest Best Buy still has several copies of the original Full Metal Jacket on the shelves. Ugh.

I'm sure I probably won't even notice the difference between 1080i, and 1080p, but it's the principle of the matter.

There isn't one yet

If they follow usual patterns, they're going to wait to sell through most of the existing stock and then offer an exchange program

Will my copy degrade to 750i over time? Do I need to buy a 1080i TV to match the disk?

there is definetly a difference. When u watch it with the PIP, it is 1080p, and I can see the difference.

Normally I wouldn't mind the wait for the new version - but I got the first two Terminators for Christmas, and haven't watched them yet, waiting to buy the 3rd. I almost fear by the time Warner puts out a proper T3, Sony & Lionsgate will have already put out remastered T1 & T2.

Is it possible to watch the 1080p version with PIP without the PIP feature on using a PS3 with all patches and upgrades or would you need a player that does not support PIP?

There is no 1080p version yet. The pip feature on the disc is pseudo pip, meaning it is the entire movie with pip thrown into a second video track. You don't have to watch the pip feature at all. But yes, the current version plays on a ps3.
