Both can handle the data rates of all the SVOD, AVOD and digital lockers for 1 (or more) stream. As you can see my TCL TV, connected wireless, shows a speed of 97 Mbps. Several times the speed needed for streaming.

For those that use it a 100Base-T port will suffice just fine for 99% of the users.

No Rock just Pure Stream, that's all I need for now. With my Symmetrical 75/75 I have no complaints. You guys are the ones that say with Streaming you see problems, and probably the ones with WiFi see the most. Yes WiFi Specs can handle the Speeds and Data Rates, but with drops in Signal they fall way below Hardwired Ethernet especially Fiber!

The problems we see relate to restricted bit rates on the likes of Netflix, Amazon etc..
Itís THEIR end not ours. Amazon are improving but often I see really bad banding and picture break up in dark backgrounds. This is blatantly because of low bitrates imo. The actual sharpness and clarity in general has improved in a big way and their 4K stuff looks decent 70% of the time. Those problems really drag it down though and completely take me out of the show Iím watching.

Netflix work wonders with their bit rates but artefacts are really obvious on pretty much every show, even their flagship ĎStranger Thingsí, which generally looks quite good.

Limitations are limitations. Itís the same limitations I see at home, at friends and when using complimentary service on holiday.

Apple are the best quality and wireless or wired, the quality is a step above most streaming services.

My ISP itself causes all of my "drops in signal" and my computer is hard wired to the internet. My connection speeds are about 490 Mbps down one moment and 3 Mbps the next. Add in random momentary complete disconnects and it gets even more fun. My connectivity issues are entirely caused by my ISP. I get the same unreliable results on either my wired or my wireless networks.

Reliance upon the internet for entertainment simply sucks, at least in rural areas like mine where you have a single broadband provider that doesn't give one flying duck about providing stable service. Duck rhymes with what I meant to type.

You stay in a perpetual state of confusion about streaming speeds that no one else here seems to have a problem with.

Look at the screen shot below (not mine). Apple HUD shows the network bandwidth as 475.27 Mbps while the average bit rate for video is 14.87 Mbps. In certain conditions video with those bit rates could and does produce aberrations. Don't know what the originator was watching or when but the video bit rate is a fair amount higher than I see from most providers nowadays for HD video.

Ever watch any content with integer frame rates? Try The Crown on Netflix.

He saw it at a press screening. Press screenings are only for the press, not the general public. It is not in theaters now. I know The Aero Theater in Santa Monica will screen it on the big screen next Thursday and Friday. There will be these limited 1-2 night engagements elsewhere I suspect, but will not be released to general theaters.

Itunes streaming and Movies anywhere (USA only) are two sVoD that use a slightly higher bit rate (32 Mbps peak) for 4K streams. Generally anything watched online from subscription sites is a lower bitrate (<20 Mbps peak) for 4K streams. So yes you may watch what looks good on Amazon Prime, Netflix, or Disney +, and usually the HD or 4K content you get on BD or 4K BD disk is a lot better PQ/AQ when compared.

I tend to use streaming to audition content before buying the disks as well as go by various reviews.

Your right that he seems to forget that its not about latency to a web server, but the load of that server that causes occasional pauses with it being served to many clients. Also avoids discussing other maladies that happen to web hosts. Too much the car salesman I guess.

He definitely tends to think that the ISP alone determines the quality, or lack thereof, of our streaming experiences. The ISP is just one link in a long chain and in my case my ISP's link is a twisty-tie from a bread wrapper.

We have explained several times that compression artifacts in the video that is stored on the CDN is fixed. No amount of fiber, symmetrical, 10Gb, etc. access is going to change what is stored at the CDN. The content quality on the CDNís is at a level for the masses not pixel peepers and videophiles. Lee has even pointed this out on more than one occasion.

He has the major problem of not seeing what some others see therefore believes they must have a problem he does not have.

That was funny. He certainly does have repetition, must be a case of an untruth repeated often enough becomes true to the one doing the repeating.

Amazon has had a facelift. No option to buy films (not that I ever would), more straightforward interface and menu with just Prime stuff and Freevee (films with ads) now integrated into Prime more clearly.

Looks more impactful with larger tiles etc.,

Actually, it is symmetrical up and down 1 gbps AND I hardwire everything in the house except for my mobile devices. Even my Sonos are all hardwiredÖ

Oooooh! Thatís why my MP3 sounds like hi-res on my Sonos.

The integrated Feeevee service seems to be full of previous Prime instant video stuff, just now with ads.

There is some live stuff on there also though.
