Nice! Tempted by Captain Scarlet and Joe 90 but I hope they eventually do all of Stingray. I'd buy that.

The Scarlet Blu’s are great. Network have done a great job. I can’t wait for Joe 90, was always one of my favourites. But I definitely agree with you about Stingray too. I would be all over it.

Plus The Secret Service. I loved that one and they could probably release that in one volume.

I watched the Joe 90 intro and was astounded. It's more colourful and psychedelic than ever! I just wonder what Stingray will look like with the colours upgraded.

Guessing this is taking a fraction longer than Network had hoped... has anyone seen any updated information anywhere?

The piecemeal releases usually get announced as a preorder but on the odd occasion they have held back until the disc was actually available to ship immediately.
With the Network ordering system being so piss poor I wonder if they're waiting until the sale is over (October 8th) or at least died down lest the system go into meltdown as it so often does.

On a recent podcast Network head honcho Tim Beddows said at least 2 volumes of Joe should be available before Xmas with the possibility of a third.
He also revealed he's in no rush to release Thunderbirds as it's his least favourite Anderson series

Thunderbirds isn't my least favorite - but near to it. I think these things work much better in a half hour time slot, and I find Thunderbirds something of a bore.

Also, though it's not Gerry Anderson, I hope no one's ignored the Space Patrol blu-ray box. It looks way better than the DVDs - the only drawback is that the extras haven't been ported over from the DVDs (and there were a lot of them). Unforgettable show, too.

Far from being boring, Tim says his dislike of TB was because there was far too much going on at once.
To be fair the rescue scenes are usually great but the rest can be hard going , not least of all because the first 9 episodes were made as half hours and then padded out to an hour later at the behest of Lew Grade.

I have the dvd of Space Patrol but it's far too primitive for me to watch in any depth , much like Supercar and Four Feather Falls. So it was the wealth of bonuses that made me buy it. Despite improved pictures I can't justify buying SP on Bluray without the extras.
If it drops to around £15 I might go for it but I already have 2 Network ITC Bluray releases where I need to keep the dvd's too because there's no extras

Nothing is known yet but as stated above it could suddenly just become available.

Also worth mentioning the HD21 2-Disc set is only £5 in the Network sale at the moment. Contains episodes of Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, The Secret Service, and Joe 90.

Anyone know if Stingray is next up for Network to do a full restoration of? I'm gonna get the Captain Scarlet box set at some point, and possibly Joe 90 eventually, but Stingray is my personal favourite.

EDIT: whoops, noticed jimdigriz already mentioned it. Sorry!

Watched the pilot the other day (on YouTube), it's great fun, I loved that the Joe 90 was talked into becoming a Special Agent with the example of him murdering a few people during aerial combat after stealing the plane.

The dream of every nine-year-old!
