Oddly, Ryse is probably one of my most played games this gen. The setting, graphics, and gameplay really connected with me for whatever reason. I even played a ton of the multiplayer after finishing the campaign. It was probably my favorite launch title for either X1 or PS4.

On the topic of Ryse I also never finished it. I think just like Derb I got to a frustrating part near the end and quit.
In QB, yeah that ending was insane & frustrating as hell too.

^^For me, that game ending will always be Gears of War. General Raam was a beast Iím enjoying Ryse, but ended up just spitballing spears at people in the tower.

Raam always felt like rng. There would be times Iíd destroy him no problem and then times more often than not I would get my ass handed to me. Much easier in co-op.

I could never find anyone to play co-op with and the Dom AI was just useless. I remember beating him and getting my first Red Ring of Death immediately after. So I didnít get the achievement. It took me a long time to achieve it in the different levels. Strangely enough, the hardest setting seemed the easiest

I too very much enjoyed Ryse. I didn't play it as much as you did, but I had a great time playing it. I always recommend it to friends.

Improved graphics rendering on an Xbox one makes it look quite nice now.

Forgot how annoying the Parking spot car disappearing glitch was however. It ate my police cruiser twice.

I can’t decide which part might have frustrated you Derb? Because I had about 3: 1)
[Show spoiler]Killing Commodus
2)
[Show spoiler]Defeating/Killing Boudica
or 3)
[Show spoiler]Defeating the Praetorian Guards
that drove me mad. I’m about to go through it again to get the remaining collectibles I missed. It definitely had a great story.

Finished Chasm tonight. Great little metroidvania title. Took less than 8 hours to beat. Decent soundtrack and fantastic animation.

Samurai Shodown
- It is a good reboot. It captures what made the original fun and unique, but also at a time when high-damage, high-stakes fighters like this are a rarity, making its combat feel both fresh and familiar. Its accessibility and easy-to-grasp gameplay belie a lot of strategic depth that makes for very intense, bloody struggles.

Doom 3. Never cared for the visuals or guns (they seem to lack impact) but it's always been a great playing game.

Really wish Quake 2 would have come to back compat. The 360 version was a great game.

Finished Graveyard Keeper last week. Back on to World of Tanks.

I've got so much SILVER credits than I know what to do with it. Also probably received about 10 free premium tanks over last couple of year for just playing consistently… Plus accumulating GOLD credits for playing.

Hang on, did you say Quake 2? That came out in 1998! You sure you don't mean Quake 4? Q4 was good on the 360, but it still holds up well on the PC version, particularly with mods for the graphics. You can buy it from the genuine geniuses at Gog.com who officially re-release old pc games and engineer them to work on modern pc's all, 100% official!

The new port which should be based off of PC BFG Edition.

Quake 2 was a bonus disc with Quake 4 on 360.
