Funny you mention Rocky IV as Dolph Lundgren makes a cameo in this film.

Yeah. Her wardrobe in the film kinda leaves me cold. She has assets that seem squandered thoughout the film. Reportedly, she also feels the same way!

I wish Blu-ray.com had a review for this. The Roger Moores are the best Bonds. Those are the ones I grew up with on cable in the 80s.

I remember seeing this in the theater when it came out. In the scene where Bond and Grace Jones are wrestling, he pins her, then kisses her. From somewhere in the dead silent auditorium, someone said "EEEWWWWW!!"

The whole room broke out laughing.

Just watched this for the first time a minute ago and I had a blast watching it, I don't care about all the negative reviews because it was awesome. Say what you want about Roger Moore being too old or too soft but his movies are always fun to watch.

Thanks a lot. Sorry I'm late. I can't believe Best Buy and Target STILL don't have their titles up!

Picked this up on Friday after work (had to travel to a Target out of town) and watched it. PQ was a massive upgrade over the DVD and the AQ (especially at the end with May Day riding the cart - spoilers avoided but most know the scene) sounded phenominal.

There's a weird jump cut when Grace Jones gets into bed with Bond. I guess they didn't want to show any nudity, however brief, or maybe it was Jones who didn't want any part of her body to be shown. There's a very graphic split-second shot of her crotch, though, while she's rolling around the floor with Christopher Walken. She was a good villain but, a love interest? No.

Why did they always make a point of portraying U.S. law enforcement as bumbling idiots in these films?

Because the production is British

The poor portrayal of US cops did not occur in the Connery films, or License to Kill.

They were still British films when Connery was starring, so that logic has no relevance.
