Default KINO goes Blu

Quote:
Kino International (USA)--will release their first Blu-ray title, Wong Kar Wai's Fallen Angels (1995), later this fall.

One film I would especially love to see from Kino in high definition is Fritz Lang's Metropolis.

You know, I have never seen it (despite many attempts, but it was usually too late when it aired) so a first screening on Blu-ray would be sweet

Fallen Angels is an absolute masterpiece.

I just hope Kino improves on there transfer quality, cause the Haneke box-set has some combing issues, and I dont want them to produce sub-par blu-rays.

There's a Kiwi movie called Utu that I'd like to see on blu. I have the dvd but it's discontinued so I'm not sure if they still have the rights.

Their Fukasaku & Suzuki holdings would be nice too.

Hell yes! Anything by Suzuki and Fukasaku would be amazing.

I've come to trust sources on this site but when I go to email friends, they always want links.
