Default Sony lcd tv 1080i res. 1 hdmi input

My Sony tv has 1080i res. and only 1 hdmi input, Do I have to go to geffen and spend more money for a switcher or what, because I would like to use the 1 hdmi for myhigh def cable and blu-ray. Any suggestions welcome. I plan on buying the Sony player when it becomes available.

Mmm... I'm not sure if it'll work. The cable is designed to split a signal in two. I'm not sure if it works backwards too.

Save up and get one of the HDMI switchers when you actually NEED to have something on hand.
