That doesn't mean 4K. I can only see BD versions. Do you got a link?

It's a good price. But they aren't 4K's yeah.

I don't care about that though. Whether the steel is 4K or BD, I get the cheapest/best one and will just display them front on. So you don't see the spine therefore it's not even a thing.

Thinking about picking up the 4k trilogy today. Does anyone know if the digital code is in 4k and where to redeem? Looked at 4ksheet and it lists them individually, not the collection.

Movies Anywhere. I use Vudu on my tv and it took them a while to add 4k playback to The Last Stand but they finally did a couple months ago. All 3 should be in 4k now.

Question:

Do you think that - in the 4K rendition - the CGI shots look "softer" than the rest, and the matte painting of the dam in X2 was a bit badly-executed?
I don't think so. I don't see any softening of the CGI shots/components and the dam scenes look fantastic to me, great matte painting.

Also, skylines in X3 don't look grainy or noisy at all.

What about that glitch that Geoff found in X1?
Guys ???????????

I rewatched this trilogy over the last few days and I thought these discs looked great! Even better than the some of the newer movies.

Brings back memories as well. The first film was one of the very first productions (after Episode I) that I remember really following as a kid (I was about to turn 12 when it was released). I read all the production rumors, spy reports, read old script drafts and even emailed Ian McKellen to ask about his costume back when the film was still in production! Anyway, even though the movie is a bit old-fashioned from a comic book movie perspective, I think it has a fairly streamlined script and solid story and character work. The action has always been very clunky though and there's very little immediacy to anything. Does anyone even run in this movie? A lot of the X-Men just kinda stand around and wait to get hit.

X2 really stepped it up in terms of action choreography and even from a story and filmmaking perspective. It's one of the very best of the franchise. I admit though that I was a little distracted this go around due to some of the misconduct allegations concerning Bryan Singer. Following the movie's production as I did, I remembered reading vague rumors about some behind the scenes gossip. And I kept pausing to Google some of the Singer coverage.

X-Men: The Last Stand. I admit I hated this when it came out due to my love of the first two. I skipped it in theaters. But when I finally watched it on DVD, I thought it was okay. And I feel the same today. At least it makes good on some of the set ups and even throws the fanboys a few bones. Most of the disappointment comes from the fact that Singer didn't get to finish his trilogy, but the movie's reasonably decent.

Have you seen Phoenix yet? It really reminded me of X1 in terms of script/dialogue, pace, clunkiness, and old-fashionedness that I really found fitting as a full circle end. It's such a Fox style X-Men film through and through. X1 means just as much to me as it does you, it's the first big film I followed and thought about every single day at around age 11. So DP meant a lot to me! If you didn't see it yet, hopefully you enjoy it!

Does anyone know if this or the "Beginnings" release have just one code for all 3 movies or are these individual?

I’ll be picking this one up soon, nice to hear they look good too. I also didn’t mind the Last Stand, it’s certainly better than Origins. Not sure I would even buy Origins if it ever got a 4K release, but if The Wolverine did get one I’d purchase day one.

Just bought this from Amazon. It seems the consensus is these first three movies (with the exception of The Last Stand) are the best in the whole X-MEN series, so I'm excited to give them a watch.

As maligned as The Last Stand has been it really isn't THAT bad of a movie. And is in some ways far better than some of the dreck released in the last few years. Certainly nowhere as bloated either. I would say that The Last Stand is a fine film and not one of the worst comic book movies made. Superman III and Superman IV The Quest For Peace hold that distinction. Along with Steel.

Last Stand introduced one of my favorite baddies, Juggernaut, only to kind of treat him as a disposable extra. Dude should'a been the centerpiece!

I own but haven't watched the 4K versions of the original trilogy, I think they'll hold up extremely well. Jackman has that indefinable something that breathes life into his character - surely it's only a matter of time before we have a 'Wolverine Trilogy' UHD box set.

Mystique barely says a word but dominates every scene she's in.

While it wasn't done perfectly, Last Stand still handles Phoenix a LOT better than Dark Pheonix did. She actually feels like a threat here, and powerful. I always feel worried for what she's about to do at any moment.

I think Last Stand would have benefited from having some of the deleted scenes re-inserted into the movie.
