Do you think its possible for Sony to offer channels at a flat rate? For example say I want to have AMC and Sony says well okay you can stream AMC from your Ps4 for $4.99 a month. Do you guys ever see something like that happening?

We have a different level of services available to us in Europe and i'm sure even by country. National TV catch up programmes are offered free whilst Netflix, Amazon etc. are offered on a subscription basis.

I suppose it all comes down to what agreements can be made with Sony and the cable companies to deliver the content, but i'd imagine at least in the US, they're going to begin trialling that sort of stuff a lot more in the future.

I dont see why not. It already happens with ESPN on the 360.

A'la carte pay TV is a long way away, unless there is an act of Congress (which could happen), and then it will cost more than $5.00 per channel. ESPN is unique among pay channels in it's association with OTA TV.
