Default Anyone think We'll See 2001: A Space Odyssey?

2013 is the 45th Anniversary, and WB has released Anniversary DigiBooks for ACO and FMJ during their respective Anniversary years. This possibility is keeping the shrink-wrap on my Canadian SteelBook.

I hope you are kidding, but just in case the Movie with Leslie Nielsen is called ""2001: A Space Travesty", it came out in 2000!

WB doesn't seem to put out as many digibooks as they used to, but I think it's still a possibility. They might just put out a UCE set like they did for Enter the Dragon, and The Exorcist though.

I would like to see one with some of the missing footage that they found but my guess is if it does come out, it will just be a reissue of what has been already released. it is a good film and a landmark in filmmaking but I don't think it is commercial enough for them to go all out on an anniversary edition(maybe 50th anniversary but even then I don't know).

I can guarantee they'll do a 50th box set in 5 years. I'd like a digibook now too and plus they already screwed us on the Lolita 50th digibook announced for last year.

Since MGM (which originally released 2001) has their 90th anniversary next year, maybe WB will release a digibook or UCE of the film next year.
I just can't see them getting to it now with all of the other WB 90th anniversary releases they have already to get out there. They could also release a 55th anniversary digibook of "Ben-Hur", which for me would be great cause I want all of the extra features without getting the big box set.
(Plus they should concentrate on getting "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" released on BD before rereleasing any other films...)

A 4k issue of 2001 would be amazing. And a IMAX release.
