This is probably the cheapest version, and looks as good as the Italian version:

The Italian disc actually looks to be a little bit cheaper (but I am unsure of the differences in shipping rates between amazon.it and amazon.de):

Actually, I've just read from the first post in this thread that the Italian release has English subs. If that's the case I'll pick it up, as I'd like the option of the Italian dub.

EDIT: Found a review of the Italian Blu and there are no subs. Shame, as I prefer the Italian dub.

I've never even listened to the Italian track - think I'd miss Rupert Everett's voice.

I wanted to get the 3D version, but, it seems to be out-of-print now. Guess that's what I get for waiting. Ugh. So, which German copy that is in print is the best version?

This site claims it's a BD-25 and limited 333 copies.

You beat me to it. That's all I was able to find as well. I bought one, even though I own the Italian release. This is a different aspect ratio anyway. Only extra is a making of and a trailer. I'll try to report back, but it will be awhile before I get it. I chose to ship my order as one package and I have preorders and backorders on there.😑

I ordered a copy as well. I missed the mediabook but then lost some interest when I found out the soundtrack was on the DVD and not on a CD. I figured it would come out eventually and I wanted to check out the 3D even though it has been derided. I have one pre-order in there holding it up until the end of this month. But I will at least have it by October!

So how is this flick? Worthy of a blind buy? I've read it described as the last great Italian horror movie.

It's certainly the best-made Italian B flick, with great production values. But that's not why it's memorable - it's a jaw-droppingly briiliant and hugely entertaining piece of horror cinema with a seriously WTF ending

Thank you. It certainly looks like it has some appeal. I'll be anxious to hear some reviews of the new release from diabolik.

I read somewhere that Martin Scorsese named this one of the 10 best Italian films of the 90's.
If that isnt a good enough recommendation then I dont know what is!

already have the soundtrack cd and the Italian BD, so waiting for comments on this if it's worth getting for PQ. I don't need a different aspect ratio really, unless this one is the preferable ratio somehow.

It says the original aspect ratio is 1.85:1 (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Della...Blu-ray/22105/), and this new German bluray is 1.78:1. The Italian release is 1.66:1.

So this new release should be closer to the original, and have more of the picture in frame. Unless I have no clue what I;m talking about, which is very possible. So if someone that has a better understanding of aspect ratios would like to correct me, that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still waiting on my order to ship, so I've not been able to check out the picture quality.
