Do you have Phantom of the Opera and Captain Clegg? I'm wondering if Phantom of the Opera is the good transfer (AKA, the one used by the US set and Anolis instead of the crummy UK one) with the right AR (Anolis used it, the US set was brutally cropped). I'm wondering about the AR on Captain Clegg, too - Anolis had it right, the US set again hacked it down to 2.0:1. The other films from the Universal set I think are pretty much right everywhere, so I'll assume they're good! Anolis is always the best option, but when their stuff goes OOP, it is nice to have a backup.
You're welcome, glad to help. Both Clegg and Phantom are 2.0:1, even though the Phantom case says 1.85:1. It's interesting that DVD Beaver notes the top and bottom of the Universal Blu-ray image loses very little information but the sides show more than the Final Cut or the Universal DVD set. That is also true of the French disc so I guess they are the same transfer. The PQ of the Phantom is really good, while Clegg could use some improvements. You are correct about Anolis being the best bet. If they were ever able to re-release Curse of the Werewolf and Brides, I would gladly double dip.

By the way, I appreciate you putting in the effort to create that list of Hammer discs. It's helped me find alot of titles for my collection.

Has Anolis any plans on releasing 1959's The Mummy? The UK 3 disc bluray is OOP with no sign of a repressing,I missed on that and wanted it for the extras.I was hoping that Anolis would port over the extras like they did with their extended Dracula blu.

Will the upcoming Rasputin Blu-ray have a remastered English audio track? The UK Studio Canal Blu-ray's mono track was heavily criticized as being very "tinny" and not as good as the previous DVD releases.

Yes, we were able to fully re-instate the old soundquality.

This is too far in the future to give you a definite answer now.

I recently came across a Quatermass and the Pit 49th anniversary Large Hardbox, but can not find any information on it. Been looking high and low for the mediabook. Any chance of re-releasing older oop titles?

Sorry, for taking so long to answer this:

We just re-released QUATERMASS AND THE PIT as the standard keep case version that was previously available. But we are still looking into the possibility of re-releasing a Mediabook version as well, as we hadn't manufactured as many back then as we do now.

Interesting and thanks for getting back to me Ivo. Sign me up for one as i'm currently trying to collect all of the mediabooks, but the earlier titles are going for insane amounts of money. Aside from QATP, what others with a lower manufacture count "might" have a possibility for re-release?

**Fingers crossed for Twins of evil. **

Are all of the Dracula releases feat. Christopher Lee really Region Code B only? I'd love if they were All Regions since the US blu-ray releases seem to suck.

It's a bit expensive at 24 euros.

Grabbed the Anolis softcover BD of 'Dracula Has Risen from the Grave' to at least have a release of it with some extras. It really made the biggest impression on me by quite a margin, along with the original.
