Yes, in New Donk City. It's the "hub" world.

What I'd like to know is how Donkey Kong became the mayor of the city?

I can't wait for this. Looks like a challenge. During the Treehouse event they stated that Mario Run is for causal and this is for hardcore players.

Bring it!!

They said the same thing about Galaxy 2 on the Wii. "Galaxy was for novice players, Galaxy 2 are for the experienced"

Just as easy.

What are "sound box elements"

Around the 22-second mark in the video.

Rewatched the trailer and got even more excited. Looks so great!

I wonder what implications of the hat being alive is gonna have on story/gameplay

It looks like you could get different hats that have different abilities which could be cool.

Technical issues aside this looks like a great Mario game, it's like Mario 64 and Sonic Adventure had a baby.

Agreed, that City level does make you think of Sonic Adventure. Seeing human (humanoid?) characters was a little jarring on first watch, but this game looks SO good. I'm always interested in a main entry Mario game and have played each one since Super Marios Bros. on the Nes. Nintendo never disappoint for me with these games.

Exactly!!! And for some brilliant reason, they're waiting almost a year to release it. I'm sorry, but it's a no brainer that this should be a day one game.

Here I was all excited to get a Switch in a couple months, but looks like I'll be waiting almost a year to get it - and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

This looks so killer. I haven't been super into Mario before, but this looks really good!
