I liked Hacksaw Ridge better than Saving Private Ryan. I've seen a lot of war movies, and none of them had affected me emotionally like Hacksaw Ridge. I was literally in tears at the end, an no other war film had ever affected me like Hacksaw Ridge. Before seeing the movie, I didn't know that Mel Gibson had directed it. He's a good director, and Apocalypto is another great movie of his to see.

But Justice League is totally flawless, right?

I always get an extra kick watching this 4K disc. One of my closest mates was a featured extra, he’s present in many scenes and his face is visible more than once. He even has a short beat with Garfield. I realised you can connect all his appearances and it tells a mini story.

Cannot express how envious I was to hear his stories from the set.

This is $8.50 on Amazon right now. Says it's temporarily out of stock but you can still lock in the price. I thought about it but I don't need this one in my collection. It's a good movie, though.

It's kinda like Mel Gibson's Braveheart 2.

You know,
[Show spoiler] guy fighting to the death for what he believes in theme.

It's definitely worth a buy at $8.50 even for a double dip if people already have the blu-ray. I got it when it was at $10. I'm really going to kick myself if it gets any lower.

If you liked the movie, it's very much worth it for only $8.50. This is one of the best looking UHDs.

It's just one of those films that doesn't have much replay value for me. I liked the film a lot but I don't see myself rewatching it over and over again. I'm also not going to buy the movie out of compulsion. Even if it's in 4K.

It's all good.

Should I get this? I love Black Hawk Down and 13 Hours Benghazhi. Is Hacksaw more emotional drama than a war movie? Is Andrew whimpering and crying like a soyboy in this?

I personally found Hacksaw Ridge to be a phenomenal masterpiece. I just saw it for the first time a couple months ago and was blown away. I can't recommend it enough. One of the best and most powerful films I've ever seen. How it didn't sweep the oscars is mindboggling to me.

I'm curious about 13 Hours myself as I've been wanting to see it.

Michael Bay's best movie since Transformers. Very well made especially on 4K.

Also, Hacksaw Ridge is a 2:20 minute film and the first hour is more of a drama and the rest is literally nonstop, relentlessly intense war "action".

Films like this just tear me up. If just 1% of people were like Doss, Earth would be the paradise it yearns to be without humanity ruining it...

It is benchmark subwoofer workout too
